The compact specialist tractor is the new flagship for the brand and picked up the Best Specialised category in the 2017 Tractor of the Year.
A sophisticated driveline was the key to its award success with a mechanical/hydrostatic transmission and “shift in motion” technology, which is four electronically controlled speed ranges that can be engaged on the run.
The transmission allows a 40km/h maximum and has electronic speed and RPM control to allow functions such as RPM recall and cruise control.
The Tony is a continuation of the Antonio Carraro line of oscillating chassis equal-sized-wheel tractors designed for steep hill work.
The all-wheel-drive tractor is powered by a four-cylinder 3319cc Kubota engine that produces 68kW and 287Nm at 1850rpm.
An exact arrival date has not been set, nor has pricing but it is expected to be about the $115,000 mark.
