AGI next generation swingaway augers ideal fit for winter harvest

AGI with the widest range of grain handling equipment and storage options offers a timely reminder of how a weak link in the chain can disrupt your harvest

AGI Westfield MKX 2 and AGI X2 augers in the 13 Series offer raised lengths from 12.3 to 21m (40.3 to 68.11ft), while model choices in the 16 series offer raised lengths from 14.4 to 26.8m (47.3 to 87.10ft)

Your grain handling, transport and storage chain at harvest is only as strong as its weakest link, and if one link breaks, you’ve got a problem according to AGI.

If just one part of the process is slowing you down, it’s going to slow down your entire operation. To prevent it, look to one of the hardest-working pieces of equipment in the chain – your auger.

The right grain handling auger helps your operation. The wrong one slows you down and creates a frustrating bottleneck.

With our local winter crop planting now completed and harvest approaching, AGI understands the needs of local grain growers and the role an auger plays in a successful harvest.

That’s why AGI has engineered the next generation of Swingaway augers specifically to improve throughput and efficiency. It’s all about moving more grain, faster – without compromising reliability, durability or serviceability.

Here’s how the next generation AGI Swingaway augers claim to deliver on that promise.

For starters, the AGI Westfield MKX 2 and AGI X2 series of A-frames and scissor lifts is designed with an open-discharge spout.

This revolutionary spout design is intended to deliver a faster, more efficient flow of grain out of the tube to reduce plugging while requiring significantly less power to handle the same amount of grain.

AGI Westfield’s next generation 405mm (16-inch) Swingaway auger comes with steerable axles as standard while it’s also an option for the 330mm (13-inch) model

AGI next generation Swingaway augers are also available with steerable axles, and this addition already comes as standard on the 405mm (16-inch) auger and is optional on the 330mm (13-inch) model.

The steerable axle addition works to improve maneuverability when lining up the auger to the bin outlet, saving operators valuable time with every load.

A further design advantage of the 330mm (13-inch) augers is that its dual clean-out doors provide easy access to the inside of the boot flight.

Downtime can be a big bottleneck. The AGI Westfield MKX 2 and AGI X2 each offer the convenience of a removable bottom shaft. The speed reducer can be quickly removed from the boot for fast and easy serviceability.

Fast efficient and reliable you need all three

High throughput doesn’t mean much if your equipment breaks down or is difficult to maintain. This is why, above all in their design, AGI augers are engineered to be tough, reliable and easily serviced.

Both the AGI Westfield MKX 2 and AGI X2 augers offer design advantages like a tapered upper bearing to improve longevity and a hanger bearing that supports the boot flight to reduce noise and wear.

Plus, all larger-capacity augers such as the 13 and 16 Series come standard with Abrasive Resistant (AR) flighting in the boot.

AGI Westfield MKX 2 and AGI X2 augers in the 13 Series offer raised lengths from 12.3 to 21m (40.3 to 68.11ft), while model choices in the 16 series offer raised lengths from 14.4 to 26.8m (47.3 to 87.10ft).
