Aussies sent to battle the Zika virus

The contract calls for the supply of skid-mounted drain cleaners capable of handling up to 10” drains, a breeding ground for mosquitos.

The models selected were Aussie’s King Cobra Vanguard and diesel drive Python kits. These big capacity jetters are required to clean out drains to help battle the Zika virus.

Aussie’s King Cobra utilises a “Big Berty” Bertolini 5000 psi pump with a maximum flow of 25lpm. That combination of 25l and 5000 psi gets drains cleaned fast.

A 200 litre tank is provided and hose reels with both high pressure and low-pressure hoses are part of the kit.

The units are powered by Briggs & Stratton Vanguard ‘Big Bloc’ engines. The ‘Big Bloc’ is fitted with a Donaclone Cyclopac air cleaner and offers up to 880cm3 of capacity.

A quantity of Aussie Python diesels was also included in the contract.

The Python is a 31lpm “Big Berty” pump producing a maximum pressure of 4,300 psi!

The Python jetter with its higher flow rate works better on bigger pipes than the King Cobra.

Units were also shipped with Aussie Viper Mini Reels to enable operators to get into blocked drains and canals, commonly found in Malacca or Johor Bahru.

The Viper Mini Reel comes with 60m of high-pressure 3/16th inch hose. It is fitted with its own pressure gauge and control valve and 3 nozzle jet holders.

Connecting the Mini Reel to the 60m of hose provides the operator the ability to clean drains remote from the “mothership” with total control of the jetter on the spot.
