Eyre Peninsula Field Days
Cleve South Australia 5640
The biennial Field Days began as a one day event in 1973 and was run by the Cleve Apex Club. In 1976 a Field Days Committee was formed, it became a two day event and was held at Sims Farm (the School Agricultural Training Farm). In 1978 the first three day event was held on the present site, with only part of the site being used, but with improved facilities it has become one of the major events in South Australia.
The Field Days draws an average of 25,000 people over the three days, from the whole of the Eyre Peninsula, Upper and Mid North, as well as many interstate visitors.
Eyre Peninsula’s friendly people are creative, resourceful and productive with the major focus being grain and livestock production and a rapidly expanding aquaculture industry. The Field Days has become a popular event for exhibitors with the diverse range of products that can be displayed.
The site is well catered for with the main office being located in the centre of the site along with a lifestyle area on the north-west corner of the site. Catering is supplied by local organisations, in the three main catering areas, with a wide variety of foods to suit all tastes.
