ARGO Magnum 500 LE advances into a prime position

The release of the ARGO Magnum 500 LE takes all-terrain vehicles into an extra realm with the ability to haul more along tracks too tough for many to venture

ARGO has released the Magnum 500 LE side-by-side with a strong build especially for the rural market with plenty of power generated from a liquid-cooled 4-stroke engine measured at 24kW (33hp) and able to generate 34Nm

ARGO is a top brand out of Canada and over the past few years has offered more advanced all-terrain side-by-sides specified to take on any comers in the rural market for their lugging power and value.

The latest model launched into the worldwide market is now available here, and the Magnum 500 LE is primed and ready for any farm work you can throw its way.

The first thing you will notice is the ARGO Magnum 500 LE has all the power you will need for any quick and effective jobbing work around the farm. This power comes courtesy of a liquid-cooled 4-stroke EFI engine that produces 24kW (33hp) and generates 34Nm.

With the added balance of Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI), the power is transmitted through a continuously variable transmission (CVT) with high/low gear as well as neutral, reverse, and park. Fuel capacity is 32-litres for long-haul situations.

Engine braking fitted as standard is adequate to handle the power thrust from the efficient shaft transmitting power to the wheels.

When 4WD is selected on the Magnum 500 LE it offers a front differential lock as well as a push-button setup to lock or unlock the rear differential. These options give the Magnum extra prowess when engaging a tight turn or running up a rough track.

Independent double a-arm front and rear suspension offer 176 and 172mm of travel respectively and react in concert with the adjustable preload shocks to ensure a consistent ride for any terrain.

The Magnum 500 LE has an adjustable tilt steering wheel and premium multi-function digital instrument panel with an odometer, speedometer, tripmeter, RPM, transmission position, 2WD/4WD/lock indicator, fuel gauge, temperature, low-battery, high beam and check engine lights.

For farm work, the towing capacity is what most operators are seeking. There is in excess of a half-tonne at 544kg and it comes with a handy 50mm (2-inch) receiver hitch attachment.

And with a dry body weight of just 465kg and body dimensions of 1440mm wide by 2700mm long the Magnum 500 LE is designed to be transported on a full-size tray whenever the need is required. A 1360kg front winch is fitted as standard.

The Magnum 500 LE’s rear cargo box has a tilt assist shock and can hold up to 200kg. Tie-down points are also included to keep everything more secure when on the move.

ARGO designers have added a host of hidden storage spaces as well, such as in the bed’s tailgate, just under the hood and the seats. Body to ground clearance is 254mm (10-inches).

Dual hydraulic disc brakes are fitted at the front with a single-hydraulic setup in the rear.

The Magnum 500 LE gets its traction from either 635mm (25-inch) Maxxis tyres or 635mm (25-inch) Duro Power Grips. This is a hard working vehicle and to prove the point the Magnum 500 LE livery comes in hard-work Graphite Grey or prominent Flame Orange.

For farm work the ARGO Magnum 500 LE has everything you need, it has all the power and ease of handling you could ask for.

To be assured of a long association, the body is built strong while still offering the most current ergonomic advancements to ensure both the driver and passenger are treated to a smooth and controlled ride.
