Bourgault has launched a special limited-time Saddle Tank™ free offer with the purchase of a new L9950 I Series™ Air Cart – but hurry it’s for a limited time only

Bourgault is assisting broadacre growers in every way possible to make the next seeding window count by supplying equipment to cover all planting requirements, including models for complex cropping programs.
For any grower requiring new equipment to maximise both uptime and precision, Bourgault is also offering a free $50,000 upgrade of a 1550-litre Saddle Tank with a L9950 I Series Air Cart purchase.
This is a limited-time free Saddle Tank Program, a strategic offer designed to support growers heading into the next planting season, with the offer running from 1 July to 31 August 2025, or while stock lasts.

The L9950 I Series Air Cart is Bourgault’s flagship high-capacity model and a natural fit for the Saddle Tank upgrade.
Its four main tanks can split in a 49/18/11/23 ratio to offer over 33,470-litres of product volume and independent metering across each compartment, making it well-suited to complex cropping programs and variable input rates.
Adding the 1550-litre Saddle Tank into this system allows operators to further optimise their product configuration and reduce changeover times between crops or paddocks.

Tackling input challenges
An Air Cart saddle tank addresses a common hurdle in air seeding when handling low-rate inputs like canola, granular inoculants, and micronutrients without disrupting the setup of the main cart.
“Maintaining high productivity with low-rate products can be a challenge with current large-capacity air carts,” explains Mark Harrison, Operations Manager at Bourgault Australia.
“Using a dedicated small tank for those products pays dividends at seeding time, allowing you to reserve the larger tanks for higher-volume products.”

Rather than dedicating a full main tank to small-volume inputs, the auxiliary Saddle Tank gives operators a more efficient way to manage these products. It reduces the need for frequent clean-outs and allows for longer operating windows between fills.
The smaller tank volume also supports more accurate metering of sensitive products.
“The small-volume Saddle Tank is ideally sized for ultra-low product rates, making it far easier to monitor product usage and confirm accurate application,” Mark adds.
“Standard in-tank cameras and weigh scales on the 9000 I Series Air Carts make this a breeze.”

Operator friendly design
In addition to improving input flexibility, the Bourgault Saddle Tank has been designed with ergonomics and safety in mind. The tank mounts low on the side of the air cart, allowing bagged products to be loaded from ground level, an important improvement for reducing fatigue and the risk of injury.
“Bourgault’s Saddle Tank is uniquely mounted at a much lower height and convenient location to the side of the Air Cart,” Mark continues.
“This allows for easy access and filling with far less physical strain on operators when using bagged products.”
The design also simplifies inspection and maintenance, helping reduce downtime during busy periods.
“It’s about making the job faster and safer,” adds Mark.
“Whether you’re loading in the dark, working solo, or managing back-to-back paddocks, having that extra accessibility really counts,” Mark concludes.

Saddle Tank offer details
Growers planning to upgrade for the next planting program will be handed a Saddle Tank valued at over $50,000 and the chance to fine-tune their operation further for increased yields with essentially a fifth tank to call upon.
Bourgault’s Saddle Tank upgrade is available at no cost for eligible customers purchasing an L9950 I Series Air Cart between 1 July and 31 August 2025, while stock lasts.
