Croplands WEED-IT is declared an evolution in weed management

The Croplands WEED-IT has had outstanding success in targeting and eliminating unwanted weeds in crops and now has over 13,000 sensors in operation on farms around the country

Effective weed detection and elimination is becoming increasingly important in cropping systems around the world with herbicide resistance on the rise, less precipitation and increased environmental awareness.

Designed with these challenges in mind, WEED-IT optical spot sprayers from Croplands, provides local growers with more control while taking efficiency to the next level.

Croplands’ WEED-IT 7000 allows growers to spot spray while also applying an effective blanket spray. This gives the option of delivering different herbicide and water rates for unmatched weed control

With over 13,000 WEED-IT sensors in operation on farms around the country, WEED-IT is commercially proven to deliver the ultimate in weed detection and targeting.

Using advanced sensors, WEED-IT detects chlorophyll in the leaves of actively growing weeds in fallow paddocks, identifying and targeting them with unrivalled accuracy.

“It is this superior mode of detection that allows for faster travel speeds and the ability to target even the smallest weeds,” says Steve Norton, Croplands Portfolio Manager.

Croplands’ uniquely designed twin tank, twin line trailed WEED-IT sprayer design allows growers to spot spray while also applying a blanket spray.

This gives the option of using different herbicides at different water rates to deliver excellent weed control.

Engineered with Australia’s tough conditions in mind, Croplands WEED-IT sprayers offers improved chassis and suspension systems and are fitted with the innovative contour-following boom.

This boom is specifically designed to maintain sensor height and target even the smallest weeds.

“Every element has been made for high durability and productivity,” says Steve.

The WEED-IT 7000, named after its 7000-litre main tank, also includes a 1500-litre hot tank that holds high-concentration chemicals for spot spraying.

This helps in the management of hard-to-kill weeds and inhibits herbicide resistance.” Says Steve.

The WEED-IT 7000, named after its 7000-litre main tank, also includes a 1500-litre hot tank that holds high-concentration chemicals for spot spraying.

The Croplands WEED-IT range also includes the 6000L and 4000L trailing sprayers with the option to add a 1100-litre hot tank to enable dual line spraying.

Croplands has also developed a number of other options to make use of this technology, including “kit’s” that can be fitted to almost any model Self Propelled sprayer.

And in addition a range of “tool-bar” or “linkage” options out to 24-metres (78ft), to suit any requirement and budget.

For a limited time, and to encourage early order commitment, Croplands are offering 10% off all WEED-IT sprayers. Orders must be placed before 30 September 2020.
