Faresin make the task of preparing the perfect ration and feeding out more efficient with large self-propelled or trailed models

From large-scale self-propelled models for feedlots to quick and nimble models for small to medium farm operations there is a Faresin feed mixer to suit every operation.
Faresin’s self-propelled and trailed mixers have been well-established in our local market since 2014, and recent additions to the range have placed the badge firmly in the sights of new buyers.
The Faresin range covers all farmer’s needs, from the smallest to the largest of farm and feedlot operations.
And most importantly to new buyers coming on board, these Faresin mixer wagons produce a mixed ration that is consistent from top to bottom.
Faresin mixers have some solid backing as they are now distributed to every state by Ahern Australia, based at their dedicated Agricultural facility in Dandenong Vic.
The company understands what is required for the Australian Farming market and is able to deliver high quality, user-friendly, and robust machines that are backed with complete nationwide parts and after-sales service.

You will find Faresin mixers in operation right across the country, on a dairy farm in Echuca Vic to as far away as Cowaramup WA, on feedlots from Darwin NT to Tamworth NSW and a recent delivery to a sheep farm in Roma Qld.
The operators understand and appreciate that Faresin machines have a reputation for robustness across many different applications.
Since becoming the national distributor of Faresin here in 2020, Ahern Australia has re-shaped the mixer wagon range on offer, based on feedback from owners/operators and dealers to ensure the model line-up meets or exceeds any customers’ expectations.
Faresin and Ahern Australia are proud of the machine’s European build quality and components which result in machine longevity and lower costs of ownership for the life of the machine.

The Ahern Group are now distributing Faresin agricultural products through the Ahern global distribution network.
With a focus on marketing a single feed mixer brand, the Ahern Group’s knowledge of these products and farmers’ requirements means that the right machine will be specified for each application.
This is evident from the company’s growth in sales of the Faresin self-propelled feed mixer, due to the machine’s unique functions and suitability for all large-scale local farm operations.
Ahern’s Business Development Manager David Soderstrom sees the potential for strong growth in this segment, “The Faresin self-propelled mixer really is the next evolution for farmers wanting to reduce labour and save on fuel bills.
“These self-propelled models immediately minimise the need for multiple capital outlay for several machines, as the SP models can produce all the mixer feed rations required.

“Faresin self-propelled mixers range in carrying capacity from 9 to 36cub.m and can handle all requirements in between.
“Our customers are wanting to reduce the amount of time they currently spend mixing, feeding and also reduce the number of machines used in this process.
“Today it’s common to see a tractor dedicated to towing a trailed mixer and another tractor spending time switching between implements to load the mixer.
“So, typically there are two machines burning diesel and possibly two operators being used in the feed preparation.
“All these factors combined have farmers considering how to evaluate their options when it comes to replacing older models with just one self-propelled machine,” David Soderstrom concluded.

World best models
In 2022 Faresin released its largest self-propelled models to date, the Precision Feeding (PF) 3.30 and 3.36.
These 30 and 36cub.m capacity models are now some of the largest self-propelled feed mixers on the market and are able to take on board the biggest workloads.
What makes the Faresin self-propelled mixer so effective is its ability to self-load and chop via its front milling cutter and elevator before the feed is discharged into the mixing tub.
Depending on the model, the front milling cutter ranges in size from 600 to 700mm in diameter and this achieves a loading time of up to 10cub.m each minute.
The milling cutter offers three different rotation speeds that are selectable based on the products being loaded.
A unique safeguard is an automatic reverse, that stops the machine from overloading the cutter and clears out any blockage before resuming its normal operation.

The heart of a mixer is its tub and the internal geometry along with the auger design.
Faresin once again brings the best to the table, with a 20mm thick floor and 8mm thick side walls made from S355 steel and the option to add a long-life stainless-steel liner makes a solid starting point.
The conical profile of the mixing tub with a narrower bottom allows for a reduction in the required power to consistently mix and rotate the ingredients to create a complete mixed ration.
For operations where the composition of the feed is important, Faresin engineers have the solution.
By fitting an optional NIR Analysis it produces a detailed overview in real time of all raw and rationed materials to ensure the mix provides optimisation of material and time for animal welfare.
The fitting of the Portable PoliSPEC NIR device allows the feed to be studied for various parameters, including dry matter, protein, and even starch levels to determine the best quality feed to be mixed within the ration.

Faresin self-propelled mixers are also able to be tailored to the operators’ requirements.
With various options for discharge points and elevator style and lengths, the machine can be specified to suit the farm layout, not the other way around.
Standard functions include a reversible fan on the engine, an automatic greasing system, and joystick in-cab controls coupled to a 180mm (7-inch) colour display.
Independent suspension with height adjustment, as well as all-wheel drive with three steering modes, combine to give the Faresin build the edge over its competition.

Trailed models are also available
When a self-propelled mixer is not the best solution for a farm operation, Faresin also offers an extensive model line of trailed and stationary machines.
Ranging from 5 to 46cub.m capacities these machines can be tailored to any farm
operation, including various options for the discharge points, elevators, and even the controls to unload the feed.
The Faresin trailed and stationary model lines also incorporate several of the design functions from the current self-propelled range. Including the geometry and quality of the tapered mixing tub and a host of options, all designed to speed up the processing and discharge times.
Ahern Australia is proud to offer the Faresin range in the Australian market, and from one family-owned business to another the sense of pride is evident from the machine quality to the way it is sold and serviced by a fully authorised Ahern Agricultural dealer.
