Flowtron smart spray system is first choice for precision spraying efficiency

Arag has developed Flowtron to become the ultimate spray system comprises advanced solenoid valves for constant pressure

Flowtron can now be integrated with the Carbon Bee SmartStriker X advanced camera system for a complete spot spray solution and targeted herbicide applications

The Flowtron Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) system for spraying weeds is now available for integration with the Carbon Bee SmartStriker X advanced camera system.

Flowtron has been developed by leading spray accessories specialist Arag to optimise product distribution when spraying weeds and for liquid fertiliser distribution.

With the advantage of the Carbon Bee SmartStriker X camera system it offers a completely spot spray solution, enabling highly precise and targeted herbicide applications.

Arag has designed Flowtron to be one of the most effective systems by fitting its in-house manufactured solenoid valves that suit all types of sprayers including for large volume broadacre operations.

The PWM system on Flowtron, perfected by Arag is effective by rapidly pulsing the nozzle on and off at the required frequency while managing the nozzle to effectively spray weeds.

Flowtron PWM with solenoid valves fitted is designed to suit all types of spray applications including for large volume broadacre operations

During each pulse, Flowtron manages the percentage of time the nozzle is on or off. For the full time, the nozzle is on for half the time, the nozzle is off for the other half.

The duty cycle of Flowtron’s PWM nozzles solves the two main problems that occur in spot spraying, under and over dosing. They maintain a constant pressure regardless of speed variations and a constant rate per hectare on a nozzle-by-nozzle basis.

A further advantage of Flowtron’s PWM is that it also allows the allows the operator to select the exact nozzle flow rate they require and set its pressure for a specific rate per hectare and spray quality and minimise the risk of drift onto a neighbour.

The Compact Fan Low Drift (CFLD) nozzles are manufactured in either coarse or extra coarse droplet size and have a 110-degree fan angle for broadacre spraying and can be set at 80 or 40 degrees for spot spraying applications.

Add a greater degree of operator control

An Arag designed and manufactured In-cab screen allows the operator can see the job progress with the IBX100 Sprayer ISOBUS.

While at the boom everything is taken care of with the IBX sharing the rate management and other processing functions including dynamic turn compensation through a chain of Cable Smart Drivers (CSDs) each supporting four nozzles, communicating with IBX and each other.

This process is aided by Flowtron solenoids with a double ring seal design that is ideal for maintaining a high flow rate with minimal power consumption and for nozzles with precision and accuracy.

For many operators, the advantage of Flowtron is that it will maintain a constant rate per hectare on a nozzle-by-nozzle basis regardless of the target application.

The Flowtron system is designed with smart solenoids in a fully integrated Arag in-house design with a manufactured screen-to-nozzle experience, that will get chemicals on target in the right dose every time.
