The guidelines for remaining bushfire recovery grants of up to $280 million will be on offer as part of the initial $2 billion promised by the Commonwealth to be spent in the first 2 years after the Black Summer Bushfires.
The grants are to assist bushfire impacted communities continue their recovery.
This was always going to be a long recovery and the release of the guidelines today shows that the Government is standing by those impacted communities.
To make it easier for communities to apply for the upcoming grants, the National Recovery and Resilience Agency is offering free support including workshops and webinars.
$1.6 billion from the National Bushfire Recovery Fund has been spent and the balance remains available to support communities impacted by the 2019-20 Black Summer bushfires.
