John Deere C1100T Air Cart armed with advanced metering

The next John Deere air cart release will give growers the opportunity to make sure maximum seeding efficiency is gained through advanced

John Deere is releasing a larger capacity addition to the C-Series air cart lineup that will optimise efficiency and reduce time wasted on refills during crucial seeding windows.

The C1100T will deliver advanced metering, calibration and data connectivity in a highly productive seeding solution for large-scale growers

The C1100T is a trailing air cart with a 38,763-litre capacity, the largest yet from Deere, and offers a four-tank system to help growers plant more ground between refills.

This model also retains popular key functions of other C-Series carts, including AccuRate™ meters, EZCal™ calibration system and precision ag technology to help boost productivity.

In addition, the C1100T cart delivers seamless integration into John Deere Operations Center™, providing enhanced operational efficiency through precision ag technologies and logistics that have been tried, tested and proven on smaller models.

“We know seeding windows are always tight,” John Deere Production and Precision Ag Manager, Royce Bell points out.

“The larger capacity of the C1100T cart will support growers in being as fast moving and efficient as possible at seeding time by maximising the area that can be covered between refills.”

C-Series carts designed for precision

This higher capacity C1100T model includes all the functions that C-Series air carts are known for, such as AccuRate meters.

These corrosion-resistant, stainless steel meters are resilient against abrasive granular fertilisers and seed treatments. The meters are individually controlled, enabling the operator to change the speed and volume of each meter to cater for higher-resolution prescriptions.

The meters also allow for Curve Compensation and SectionCommand™ Pro, making seeding practices up to eight times more precise for farmers.

Another advantage of the C-Series carts is the industry-exclusive John Deere EZCal system – a push-button calibration system that is faster and more efficient than older, manual bag calibration methods. By eliminating the need to crawl under the cart to calibrate the machine, EZCal further reduces the time needed to prepare for seeding.

The optional EZCal technology enables operators to calibrate the meters to exacting requirements with the push of a button while refilling

“Being able to quickly and easily calibrate seed meters from the G5e cart-side display eliminates the risk of over- or under metering as the operator can continually monitor changing conditions,” Royce Bell adds.

“Through the ActiveCal system, operators also have the ability to calibrate the AccuRate meters from the cab on-the-go. From the G5PLUS display you can quickly see how much area can be covered by the product left in the tank at any time.”

Addition functions aid efficient handling

The C1100T is armed with a 30.5 cm (12-in) hydraulic conveyor. This longer conveyor allows for easier tendering of untreated seed and increases clearance near the tyres, while a stainless steel hopper minimises maintenance.

In addition to the conveyor, the front platform has been redesigned with walk-over stairs for easier access to the cross hitch.

The cart also includes a larger flex tank increased to 3700-litres, with upper and lower fill points enabling the flexibility of either filling by bulk or small bags for specialised seeds.

Logistics for better operation flow

Multi-tank air seeders with a G5 or G5PLUS Command Center display and G5 Advanced license have access to the latest John Deere Operations Center Logistics and can provide an estimate of how long and how much area remains until the tank is empty.

This function helps operators anticipate when a refill is needed, ensuring everyone is in the right place at the right time to maximise productivity.

The logistics function is operational whether the air seeder is applying at a flat rate or using a variable rate prescription.

Precision improves air cart productivity

The AccuRate metering system is now compatible with the John Deere 1910 air carts with two and three tank configurations. These meters reduce maintenance and minimise crop buildup with anti-static composite shoots. Additional options include an in-tank and platform lighting package.

The optional EZCal technology enables operators to calibrate meters with the push of a button while refilling.

Another precision ag option for air carts is the RelativeFlow™ blockage system – it uses sensors to monitor the relative rate of product flow row-to-row in order to sense blockages before they happen, eliminating skips and uneven crop emergence.

The John Deere high capacity C1100T Air Cart will be in strong demand when it’s available to order from April 2027. Discuss it with your local dealer.
