Massey Ferguson is securing impressive sales with its compact MF9130 Plus for small and medium sized local operators, released here following its success with growers in South America.
For a compact model the MF9130 Plus is certainly not short on power as its AGCO Power 6.6-litre, 6-cylinder tier 3 engine develops 154kW (210hp). It runs fuel off a 365-litre tank.
Its Bosch Rexroth hydrostatic transmission has three operating ranges and the transmission is coupled with Bosch Rexroth variable displacement wheel motors and final drives. It is full-time 4WD with a top speed is 50kph.
The MF9130 Plus has a 3000-litre commodity tank with 240-litre fresh water flush tank. This is coupled to either a 24 or 28m seven section boom with fence line nozzles and Norac boom levelling as standard.
With the MF9130 Plus the usual add-ons and extra option costs are part of the standard package and that’s what makes this competitively priced, straight-forward model such good value.
Inside the MF9130 cab you will immediately appreciate the air-ride seat with all controls located on the arm rest, lack of vibration and low noise level.
When you settle in, flick the air-conditioning system into action and you have a very comfortable operation platform.
Nearby a quick scan over the C1000 dashboard monitor will quickly reveal fuel levels, engine revs and diagnostics.
Most operator attention will be on the C3000 monitor, the central pivot that controls all aspects of the spray application such as auto-rate and section control and in the meantime auto-steering will also have kicked-in.
