Agrowplow’s direct drill seeders combine the build strength and durability farmers have come to appreciate with their added versatility

All specialist seeding operations are catered for with the Agrowdrill range available from Australian seed drill and deep ripper manufacturer, Agowplow. From the small and versatile AD083, to the large-scale performance of the AD730.
Each Agrowdrill can be customised to suit the unique conditions of a farm operation with multiple undercarriage configurations and options for seed and fertiliser placement, row spacing, and towing.
Behind the Agrowdrill design is the way farmers have embraced seed drills as an essential tool for current farming methods.
Unlike traditional broadcasting, direct drills accurately and consistently plant product at a uniform depth and spacing – for perfect placement – proven to promote even germination and growth.
The results are there for all to see, improving yields and reducing wastage by ensuring the direct drill planting has been placed for adequate access to nutrients, moisture and sunlight.

The Agrowdrill seed drill range includes four models, the AD083, AD140, AD240 and AD730, all designed with the purpose to meet the varied needs of seeding operations.
One of the standout functions of an Agrowdrill is its exceptional trash-handling capabilities.
Agrowdrill models are purpose designed to handle large amounts of crop residue, and as a result reduces the need for additional tillage, while also promoting soil health.
The versatility of Agrowdrill’s direct drill design reveals it as all-encompassing as it saves money through minimal-tillage or zero-tillage operations by planting seed directly into unploughed soil, with the added advantage of reducing soil erosion and preserving soil structure.
Zero-tillage has been shown to increase water filtration, boost soil fertility and health by promoting the growth of soil micro-organisms, and maximise crop yields while minimising cost expenditure of fuel and labour.

The Agrowdrill range
With a working width of up to 2.7m and a hopper capacity of up to 407-litres, the AD083 offers small-scale and specialist farmers the versatility needed for pasture renovation, summer crops, cereals, or legumes.
The AD083 seed drill is available with 10, 11, 17 or 18 sowing rows and includes Agrowplow’s unique gated double-outlet fluted roller distribution system to provide high sowing rates, reduce bridging, and handle a wide variety of seed and granular fertiliser.
The AD083 Agrowdrill is perfectly suited to viticulture. It has a transport width of just two metres which makes it ideal to easily navigate narrow vineyard rows. The 401 double discs make handling trash that accumulates around trellises simple.
Stepping up a size is the AD140 Agrowdrill. Like the AD083, the AD140 is made of highly durable 100x100x6mm RHS steel to give it the strength needed to penetrate dry soils.
High clearance and wide spacings on the AD140 help keep trash to a minimum, and the double-disc undercarriage can also be fitted to manage high trash conditions or for minimum tillage operations.
The AD140’s high-strength dual hoppers enable seeding and fertilising in a single pass with the ability to fine-tune the calibration for higher rates of fertiliser and low seed rates to suit soil conditions.
Available in 10, 12, 16 or 20 sowing rows with a working width from 1.5 to 3.0m, the AD140 is best suited for small to medium operations.

Moving up in volume, the AD240 is currently one of the most popular models in the Agrowdrill line-up, partly due to its working simplicity, reliability, and flexibility.
The AD240 incorporates a design that places the wheels inside the working width, and this allows for sowing across the entire width of the machine. It is available with 20, 24 or 28 sowing rows with working widths from 3.0 to 3.5m.
The AD240’s larger capacity 605 to 710-litre dual hoppers allows the operator to spend more time in the paddock for more efficient sowing while optional flotation tyres can also be fitted to minimise compaction.
The drill has a direct-drive mechanical clutch that enables easy adjustment of the sowing rate. The robust dog clutch engages the drill when lowered and disengages it when lifted, making turning while sowing easier.
The AD240 also offers the advantage of an adjustable platform to conveniently fill and clean the hoppers.

A simple glance at the machine’s shaft rotator indicators gives an easy visual confirmation that the drill is operating and functioning correctly.
Moving into larger-scale territory is the AD730, the highest capacity model in the Agrowdrill range with working widths up to 4.9m and more expansive hopper capacities of up to 2160-litres.
The Agrowdrill AD730 is a specialist broadacre machine for many growers that want to be assured of the highest yields possible, designed to sow in longer shifts across paddocks without the need to stop and reload.
The drill is built around a heavy-duty spring tyne and a fully-welded 100x100x9mm RHS steel frame that gives the AD730 the ability to penetrate the hardest and driest soils.

Agrowdrills can be customised with a range of options such as coulters, presswheels, double-chuting, small seeds box, deep small seeds box, small seeds flexi-chutes, flotation tyres, harrows, and a rear tow hitch for towing soil finishers such as Agrowplow’s Flexi-Roller or rubber-tyre rollers
Undercarriage options
Agrowdrills are fitted with high breakout tynes capable of penetrating the hardest soils with the aim to maximise crop emergence.
The Agrowplow 425 coil tyne available on AD083, AD140, and AD240 models has a breakout of 136kg, and the classic inverted-T shape Baker Boot point opens a groove in the soil designed to minimise soil disturbance and ensure effective seed placement.
The 251 spring tyne (114kg breakout) with its Baker Boot point, and the more heavy-duty 552 HD spring tyne (250kg breakout) with tungsten-hard faced wedge points, offer AD730 users a robust solution to meet the needs of large-scale direct drilling.
Agrowplow’s 401 double-disc unit with a downforce of 205kg (2010N) and comprised of twin 405mm (16-inch) discs, can be fitted to the AD083, AD140 and AD730 models and offer exceptional accuracy and trash management.
With its self-cleaning design, it breaks through stubble in high trash conditions, creating a clean soil furrow with minimal soil disturbance.
The slim profile of the discs also allows for closer row spacings to maximise accuracy and crop efficiency.

A road kit for transporting the machine on public roads can be installed that includes an oversize sign, two high-visibility flags, two indicator lights, a top hazard light, and work lamp
Options
Agrowdrills can be fitted with a range of options depending on machine configurations such as coulters, presswheels, harrows, double chuting, a small seeds box, bean rollers, and a road kit.
Operators can also choose a rear-tow hitch to attach trailing soil finishers such as an Agrowplow Flexi-Roller or Rubber Tyre Roller.
Made for Aussie farms
Agrowplow has a background that includes designing and building farm machinery in Australia for over 45 years and its range of Agrowdrill seed drills is made for the tough
conditions often encountered when farming in many regions across Australia.
All Agrowplow machines are built in regional Australia, with its main operational headquarters and manufacturing facilities located in NSW’s Central West.
Agrowplow’s coverage has increased each year since being acquired in 2013 by a well-known local agricultural machinery manufacturer, Davimac Group.
The company has continued the Agrowplow philosophy to be innovative and soil-conscious, committed to developing soil care products for improved and sustainable agriculture, as
promoted under the slogan: “Prosperity Through Soil Care.”
