Worldwide, Nutrien had an annual revenue for 2023 of US$29.056 billion, and while that appears impressive it represented a 23.3% decline from 2022 when the annual revenue was US$37.884B, a 36.71% increase from 2021. It is estimated the Australian operation contributes just over AU$1.2 billion in annual revenue

Nutrien annual revenue for 2024 has not been released at this stage, but we can get a reading from the quarter ending 30 September with revenue of US$5.348 billion, a 5.03% decline year-over-year. With the revenue for the twelve months ending 30 September 2024 being US$26.557B, a 14.12% decline year-over-year.
Nutrien Ag Solutions has a team of 4,000 ag professionals working in over 400 rural stores and service locations positioned across every corner of the country and specialise in rural merchandise along with a wide range of farm services, including agronomy, livestock, finance, insurance, sustainability, real estate, water and wool.
Adrian replaces former Managing Director of Nutrien Ag Solutions Australia, Kelly Freeman, who held the position for just over two years and has subsequently been appointed Executive Advisor to Nutrien’s operations in Latin America.
Adrian is a highly regarded leader within Nutrien, having most recently served as Senior Director of Finance. This was preceded by a distinguished career spanning finance and leadership roles at Nufarm, KPMG and JP Morgan Chase.
Adrian joined Nutrien in 2021 and holds a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy), Commerce from RMIT University and an Executive MBA from Melbourne Business School. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Nutrien Ag Solutions management says Adrian brings extensive experience and expertise to the MD role and describes the appointment as an important leadership transition for its local operations.
Commenting on his appointment, Adrian said, “I am honoured to take on the role of Managing Director and continue the work of supporting Australian agriculture. Nutrien is deeply committed to the success of our suppliers, growers, and partners, and I look forward to building on the strong foundations established under Kelly’s leadership.”

Reflecting on his time with Nutrien Ag Solutions in Australia, Kelly Freeman added, “To say that I have immensely enjoyed working closely with our valued customers, suppliers, teams and partners in Australia is an understatement.
“It has been an outstanding professional and personal experience, and I am confident that the Australian business will continue to thrive under Adrian Capogreco’s leadership and our exceptional team across the country,” Kelly concluded.
Joining Nutrien Ag Solutions in 2022 from Nutrien’s Canadian retail operations, Kelly led the Australian business to significant growth through his collaborative leadership style, strategic vision and commitment to driving results.
