The latest set of upgrades for John Deere’s MY2025 6M tractor range includes ways to fully customise a model to suit any operation

John Deere’s 6M tractor range is known for offering some of the most popular model choices and the line-up has been extended even further with major updates for MY2025 models.
There is now more speed and power available across a 13-model range that for the first time includes four models above 147kW (200hp) and fitted with a 50kph transmission.
John Deere Production Systems Manager, Stephanie Gersekowski explained how the update will give operators never-before-seen customisation to create an ideal mid-size utility tractor.
“The MY2025 6M builds on its reputation as the ready-for-anything workhorse of the farm by adding more optionality, so our customers can build the tractor that perfectly matches the unique needs of their operation,” Stephanie Gersekowski continues.
“We have taken some of the key features of our larger machines and introduced them to the mid-size tractor market and answered the call for extra speed for transportation with the option of 50kph transmissions.”

Dynamic body contours
One of the first changes many will notice is the updated body styling. The sleek contours now represent a current refresh including the new flag design and louvre shape.
The name and numbering conventions have also been aligned with 6R, 7R, 8R and 9R tractors, that display the series separately from the rated engine horsepower.
More power with a boost
The MY2025 6M will be available in five frame sizes and span 13 models ranging from 70 to 184kW (95 to 250hp) with the ability to tackle anything from mowing and baling to feeding livestock.
There are four extra small frame models offering engine power from 70 to 92kW (95 to 125hp), three small frame models with a power range of 96 to 110kW (130 to 150hp), and four mid-frame models with power from 107 to 114kW (145 to 185hp).

Then there is a step-up in power to large-frame models with 121 to 177kW (180 to 240hp), while the extra-large frame models are toting 169 and 184kW (230 and 250hp) respectively.
For the first time, four models in the MY2025 6M offer engine power of 147kW (200hp) or above.
In addition, Intelligent Power Management comes standard in all machines, except for two models with Tier 2 engine emissions the 6M 140 and 6M 110.
The IPM addition allows for a 15kW (20hp) power boost that is handy for many typical operations that use rear power take-off in high-power applications or during transport.

Updated 50kph transmission
Based on customer feedback, MY2025 6M tractors offers 50kph capability in the AutoQuad™, CommandQuad™ and AutoPowr™ IVT™ Transmissions.
AutoPowr IVT has also been extended to all 6M tractors, with the exception of the 6MH and the Tier 2 models, allowing operators to change speed seamlessly from low creeper speeds up to as high as 50kph during transport.

Design features
Other noticeable differences MY2025 6M tractors offer to tailor-make a model for any specific operation, include:
• Sloped hood design (6M 95, 6M 105 and 6M 125) for excellent visibility and manoeuvrability
• Availability of single or dual rear wheels, or larger tyres, for better traction and power to the ground
• Optional reversible fan technology to quickly clean radiator screens from the comfort of the cab
• Corner post display with state-of-the-art instrumentation, integrated connectivity, scalable precision technology, and more.
“The redesigned 6M has everything you know and trust from this dependable all-rounder but with more power, more smarts and additional features to make it a go-to tractor for a diversity of farms including dairy and beef operations,” John Deere Production Systems Manager, Stephanie Gersekowski adds.
