Industry participants understand just how important it is to keep abreast of upcoming and current product and model releases – Diesel Dirt & Turf Expo has everything you need

Sydney is set for the National Diesel Dirt & Turf Expo as it returns to the Sydney Dragway, Eastern Creek, from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th April 2026.

This premier event is a must-attend for anyone in the earthmoving, agricultural and construction industries, or those who love big machines and innovation.

Celebrating its tenth anniversary, the Expo is Australia’s largest construction equipment and tools industry event, attracting thousands of visitors and featuring more than 200 exhibitors.

It’s the ultimate showcase of cutting-edge machinery, technology, and services that drive the nation’s infrastructure and development. Komatsu Australia is again the Gold Sponsor of the Expo, supported by Pickles, Machines4U, Gensure and Soda Capital.

Mark the National Diesel Dirt & Turf Expo in your calendar to attend on Friday, Saturday or Sunday on 17 to 19 April 2026 at the Sydney Dragway, Ferrers Road Eastern Creek NSW

Business opportunities

The Expo brings together a wide cross-section of the industry: contractors, equipment dealers, manufacturers, and service providers.

For contractors, this means connecting with new suppliers, discovering service partners (maintenance, parts, finance) and potentially finding clients or sub-contract partners.

It’s also a place to observe what competitors are using and how they operate — helping you benchmark your own business. You might find better deals or relationships with suppliers which can reduce your cost of ownership or improve uptime.

It’s an efficient way to meet many potential partners in one place, rather than chasing them individually. This helps you stay aware of market trends: what others are buying, what’s becoming standard.

Exhibitors are on hand to supply the industry with all the information they require to keep their fleet performing in top condition and get first-hand feedback about new model lines

Productivity and future-proofing your fleet

One of the key objectives of the Expo is to help earthmoving and construction contractors keep informed about the latest advances to boost their productivity and safety.

Given rapid changes in equipment, attachments, and site methods, being aware of what’s new means you’re less likely to fall behind.

One-stop shop for evaluating gear and services

It’s more efficient to evaluate many aspects of your business in one trip (instead of going to multiple venues). The event covers more than just big machines. There are attachments, trucks, trailers, earthworks tools, service and finance providers are all present.

You’ll also see ground-engaging tools, accessories, parts, tyres, hydraulics, maintenance services, finance providers and training and employment organisations — the “whole ecosystem” of the earthmoving industry.

You may identify cost savings or synergy between components (e.g., matching trailer to machine/spec to attachments). You can gather multiple quotes/bids or compare service offerings in one place.

Operators entering the industry for the first time can get first-hand information from exhibitors on site about upcoming model releases and jobbing opportunities in the industry

Demonstration of value and deal-finding

The annual Diesel Dirt & Turf Expo exhibitors often host product launches, special offers, and opportunities to negotiate with suppliers in-person.

The Expo also gives you the chance to “touch and feel” what you’re buying — much better than viewing online. Also, there is the chance to secure better pricing, or discover “hidden” benefits of a machine or attachment that aren’t obvious from specs.

It’s also worth considering there is less risk when you’re able to compare options physically rather than relying only on brochures. This advantage may help you justify investment decisions to stakeholders (owners, financiers) because you can show what you saw and how it performs.

The Pickles live auction will commence at 1.00 pm on Friday 17 April and visitors will be offered a wide range of both big top-tier machinery and small bargain models

Dynamic mix

Visitors always enjoy the innovative exhibits from major sponsor Komatsu and the ever-popular onsite Pickles auction.

Insurance innovation

“Matt Hollier, National Relationship Director at Gensure, said it is designed for referrals from finance professionals and vendor finance managers, our unique offering delivers fixed, multi-year coverage for the life of a finance agreement—up to five years.

“We simplify the insurance process, removing delays and complications by offering a real-time insurance indication at the same time as the finance quote. Once accepted, coverage is immediately active, ensuring certainty, compliance, and protection without unnecessary paperwork or back-and-forth negotiations.”
