Visitors to Hort Connections held at Brisbane’s Convention Centre from 4 to 6 June 2025 will be wowed by a specialist range from John Deere

John Deere is bringing its largest ever display of machinery to Hort Connections with two all new lines along with specialty tractors designed for the horticulture sector, underscoring its commitment to the horticulture sector.
Visitors to Hort Connections at Brisbane’s Convention Centre from 4 to 6 June 2025 will see the most powerful of John Deere’s current range of 6M tractors, the 6M 250, parked alongside the 5130 ML tractor.
Both these models are designed specifically for orchard and vineyard growers, and the extra-high 5090 EH is perfect for vegetable growers who need extra clearance.
And don’t miss this special entry, the new Z370R Electric Z-Trak™ Zero Turn mower will be on display.
John Deere Australia and New Zealand Marketing Manager for Small Ag and Turf, Erin Wagstaff, said it was about showing customers the breadth of the machine line-up and the customisation available to suit every operational need.
“Each year we try to bring something new to Hort Connections and this year we’ve assembled our best line-up yet,” Erin Wagstaff explains.
“From our versatile and popular workhorse, the 6M, to the painstakingly designed hort specialist, the 5ML, we really wanted to demonstrate how we value our horticulture customers and that we are working to find the right solution for their needs,” Erin Wagstaff added.

John Deere all-new 6M 250
The latest release 6M range offers more speed, power and customisation to be the ideal mid-size utility tractor for the horticulture industry.
For the first time, four models are 147kW (200hp) or above, and those wanting extra speed for transportation have the option of a 50kph transmission.
Another advantage of the 6M is the intelligent power management, providing a 14.9kW (20hp) boost for many typical operations that use rear power take-off in high-power applications or in transport.
The sloped hood design delivers enhanced operator visibility, while the option of single or dual rear wheels or larger tyres brings improved traction and power to the ground.
There is also a digital cornerpost display in the cabin, featuring integrated connectivity and scalable precision technology.
The name and numbering conventions have been aligned with John Deere’s 6R, 7R, 8R and 9R tractors, which display the series separately from the rated engine horsepower, and the sleek styling of the 6Ms includes a new flag design and louvre shape.

Vineyard and orchard specialist
For horticulture producers looking for additional technology and efficiency gains, John Deere’s 5ML, purpose-built for orchards and vineyards, is the pick of the bunch.
The 5ML also brings unprecedented power to John Deere’s orchard tractor offering with 77, 88 and 96kW (105, 120 and 130HP) models available. With two front-axle configurations for working widths from 1550mm (61-in) and up to 1800mm (71-in), the 5ML offers premium functions at a size suited to exacting applications.
The 5ML comes equipped with programmable LED lighting, a front hitch to ensure operators can use heavier implements such as almond harvesters, and a front PTO for added versatility.
There is also the choice of an easy-to-use PowrQuad™ PLUS or Powr8™ transmission. A new Limb Lifter kit can be added to gently move away low hanging branches, reducing the potential for damage to the tree and tractor.
Clear high-value crops with ease
The 5EH perfectly combines operator comfort with functionality, offering 690mm of front axle crop clearance to pass over bedded crops with ease and dual SCVs standard.
It also offers a powerful air-conditioning and heating system, sun-visors, and interior lighting to cater for any time of day, winter or summer. The rear window opens to 70-degrees for focused visibility when attaching implements.
For applications that require lower speeds the 5EH can be equipped with an optional creeper to meet your needs.

Quiet revolution EZ mower
Battery-electric power has come to John Deere’s Zero Turn mower range with the introduction of the Z370R Electric ZTrak™ residential mower, offering less maintenance, easier operation and reduced noise.
The Z370R is powered by a 3.2kWh lithium-ion battery that unlike most other electric mowers on the market is fully sealed to IP66 (ingress protection) rating, shielding it from the elements like dust, dirt and water.
It mows up to 0.80ha (2-ac) on a single charge*, is available in 1066mm (42-in) and 1219 (48-in) cutting decks, and the charger plugs into a standard power outlet.
“We’ve got a great range of machines on display, but if you can’t make it to Hort Connections then head into your local dealer for more information and a demonstration,” Erin Wagstaff recommends.
