Agfest is Tasmania’s premier Field Days event and will be held over three days from Thursday to Saturday on the 2 to 4 May 2019 at Quercus Park, Carrick.
Recognised as one of the top three field day’s events in Australia, Agfest is organised and managed by Rural Youth Tasmania, a not for profit organisation whose members are aged 15-30.
In 2018, Agfest attracted 65,794 attendees and 709 exhibitors, and the committee hope to encourage more to the event this year.
In addition to the regular attractions, which patrons look forward to each year, including the MAST Agfest boat show, working sheep dog trials, beef Expo and junior livestock handling.
Along with popular heritage machinery, Dairy TAS LegenDairy Expo, Equine Expo, and Unique Taste Pavilion, Agfest will also be introducing several new attractions for 2019.
Watch out for the Food Truck Park with the accompanying seating/picnic area as this will be a welcome addition with 10 vans offering a variety of food. This addition is sure to please patrons and provide another area for everyone to sit and enjoy the food, sights and sounds of Agfest.
Scouts Tasmania climbing tower will showcase demonstrations throughout the three days of the event, this will be popular with those looking for some action and adventure.
This year Agfest will celebrate 100 years of Mack trucks in Australia with a display to mark the occasion, for history buffs and truck lovers alike.
The event will run from Thursday to Saturday on the 2, 3 and 4 May 2019 when it’s open daily from 8am until 5pm with adults’ admission at the gate $25, Children 5 to 17 are $5, children under 5 are free.
