AgSmart Expo 2023 to be held in Victoria for the first time

All farmers interested in techno solutions will be heading for the Bendigo Exhibition Centre in regional Victoria for the AgSmart Expo 2023

AgSmart breaks new ground as the main agtech event for farmers with a showcase of ideas and technology from artificial intelligence, smart farm machinery and equipment, robotics, on-farm connectivity and vertical farming start-ups

This year the AgSmart Expo will move to a new location at the Bendigo Exhibition Centre and will be across two days, from 20 to 21 April.

AgSmart Expo is currently the only dedicated agtech exhibition and for any farmer interested in cutting back on work hours and viewing all the latest releases, this is a must-attend event.

The AgSmart Expo was launched by ACM Rural Events in 2022 to provide primary producers with an opportunity to connect with and learn more about the latest agricultural innovations.

Thousands attended the first event in Tamworth NSW, to see the progressive products being offered by agtech start-ups and established machinery manufacturers.

ACM Rural Events group manager Kate Nugent said the in-person indoor event was designed with a commercial focus on agtech, with trade exhibits and seminar sessions held over two big days.

“Australian agriculture is on the move and the AgSmart Expo will place a spotlight on ground-breaking, more cost-efficient, and more effective farming practices that are more responsive to change, and ultimately more profitable,” Kate added.

The inaugural Agsmart event was a great success when held in Tamworth NSW last year will now move to Bendigo VIC in 2023 to show farmers the way forward using technology

More than 100 exhibitors are expected to showcase an array of technology including robotics, artificial intelligence in farming, Internet of Things solutions and ways to improve on-farm connectivity.

Kat Nugent also explained, as the world’s population grew and the cost of food and fibre production increased, Australia’s agtech sector had the potential to change the face of farming.

“This event will provide insights into the future of Australian farming,” Kate continued.

“Our commercial philosophy has gained affirmation and excitement from the burgeoning Australian agtech industry as it seeks an opportunity to display, demonstrate, influence, and inform Australian farmers about adopting new technological advances and different practices in agriculture to drive future productivity and profitability for our farming nation.

“Adoption of agtech will ensure the industry can produce, supply, and store food and fibre sustainably,” Kate concluded.

This year, AgSmart Expo 2023 will move to a new location at the Bendigo Exhibition Centre, based in the large regional town of Bendigo Victoria, to run over two days on Thursday and Friday 20 and 21 April.

Tickets go on sale at the end of February 2023.

AgSmart is a Field Day with a difference, it has been initiated to showcase all the available assets farmers can use to cut back on working hours by reducing the time it takes to run down furrows and introduce ways to ensure crops can attain the best yields possible.

In addition, livestock producers will find ways to monitor their stock in ways never thought possible previously, and make sure animals get the attention they need at any time through special alerts.

AgSmart 2023 will be staged on Thursday and Friday 20 and 21 April 2023 at the Bendigo Exhibition Centre at the Bendigo Showgrounds Holmes road in North Bendigo VIC. Admission tickets are now on sale here.
