BKT has announced a release schedule to add four more sizes to its V-Flecto range of tyres for high-power tractors

While the pace of everyday day life slowed for many in 2020, this was not the case for BKT Tyres Research and Development Centre where it was full steam ahead developing more sizes in the Agrimax V-Flecto range of agricultural tyres.
As a result, an additional tyre size is ready for release and three more are in development to join the 18 sizes currently available.
BKT says it developed the Agrimax V-Flecto tyre to bring together a range of “combined” solutions to optimise the work and performance of high-powered tractors.
BKT advise the Agrimax V-Flecto can carry 40% more weight than a standard tyre of the same size with no increase in inflation pressure and with the same recommended rim.
Alternatively, the V-Flecto can carry the same weight as the standard tyre with 40% less inflation pressure, which reduces soil compaction.
Soil compaction is also reduced due to a wider footprint area and a 10% wider tread. BKT claims the tyre is also 10% more durable than the standard equivalent.
The V-Flecto also offers an ultra-resistant casing and a strengthened bead.
It is the first BKT tyre to make use of NRO (Narrow Rim Option) technology, conforming to the standards recorded by the European Tyre and Rim Technology Organisation (ETRTO).
This marking makes it possible to use standard rims, not dedicated rims, which are often needed for VF tyres of the same size.

With a massive Research and Development Centre officially opened in Bhuj, India in 2017, it is no surprise that BKT can so quickly respond to customer demand and incorporate new technology into their product range.
The centre, which encompasses 25 hectares, incorporates state-of-the-art equipment and software managed by a team of engineers, chemists and technicians dealing with all aspects of the technological development of BKT tyres.
Including from designing a new tyre and creating compounds to improve product performance, to implementing processes for efficient and customised production.
Adjacent to the centre is a modern testing track, that allows for in-depth tyre performance tests simulating real application conditions in order to obtain updated and detailed data and analyses.
