More than 40,000 visitors and around 900 exhibitors from the farm machinery and equipment attended LAMMA 2017 on 18-19 January.

It was the first show since Brexit and organisers reported an atmosphere of cautious optimism

among exhibitors and visitors, due to the improved commodity prices as a result of the vote.

LAMMA is the only major show that CLAAS UK attends and the company used the show to display a number of new additions to the CLAAS range that were launched during the northern autumn.

Centre stage on the stand was a line-up of models from the CLAAS tractor range, from the smaller ATOS up to Flawborough Farms’ impressive XERION 5000 and tanker combination, which attracted considerable interest.

Also exhibited on the CLAAS stand were the latest additions and updates to the LEXION combine range, the new QUADRANT 5200 large square baler and the VARIANT 400, both of which incorporate new features designed to provide increased productivity.

Also attracting interest was the new tripod mounted RTK FIELD BASE and S10 terminal, which is now compatible with all the latest ISO functions, such as Task Management and Section Boom Control.

Three new QUADRANT balers have been added to the CLAAS range – the QUADRANT 5300, 5200 and 4200.
