For the first time a large agricultural tractor from Deutz-Fahr has been equipped with a lifting and rotating cab system that is infinitely adjustable with a turning range of up to 200 degrees.
The hydraulic lifting and rotating cab system has been fitted to a Deutz-Fahr TTV 9340 Agrotron with a power range of 247kW (336hp), and able to muster a top speed of 60kph.
This model was especially selected for the extended cab development by engineers from Paul Nutzfahrzeug GmbH. It offered value for money when compared with the performance level of much more expensive machines offering similar cab attributes. This conversion allows the Deutz-Fahr TTV 9340 Agrotron to take on additional forestry work while it can also work unimpeded for hours with implements in the paddock.
A comfortable seating position is ergonomically optimized for taller operators and all available adjustment options are fully maintained.
Lifting and rotating is a simple operation from a separate control panel within the cab. It activates via the joystick with a toggle switch that has control sensors to identify the rotation process will not encounter obstacles. This is indicated to the operator through the LEDs placed to the left of the toggle switch.
The complete cab including the fenders is lifted by a horizontally mounted hydraulic cylinder by 350mm and is then moved 750mm to the rear. In the raised working position the cab can be turned clockwise from 0 to a maximum of
200 degrees, all through the joystick control.
Within this wide turning range, the cab’s position is infinitely adjustable and can be continuously positioned without the operator having to change the seating position.
This provides the operator with an outstanding overview when working with large-sized front and rear attachments. At
the same time overall safety is significantly increased during driving and pushing operations, as well as during reversing.
With a height of exactly 3,700mm in the lowered travel position, the height of the TTV 9340 Agrotron remains constantly
below four-metres when in transport mode. While in the raised working position the height is four-metres.
it can also be moved safely in the working position with the cab lifted and turned at low speeds up to 15kph.
