The Dowerin GWN7 Machinery Field Days is shaping up to host an incredible event scheduled for Wednesday August 25 & Thursday August 26. As with most people involved in the event industry the past 12 months has been a daunting experience however uptake of exhibition sites has been overwhelming and Dowerin is shaping up to be an event not to be missed.

From its humble beginnings in 1964 with 20 exhibitors the Dowerin Field Days has grown to become WA’s premier agricultural field days attracting 700 exhibitors.

The not-for-profit community owned organisation is managed by 5 part time staff and a passionate group of 300 volunteers from across the region. Each volunteer is paid $20 per hour with the money going towards their nominated community organisation.

Approximately $3million a year goes back into local business and communities due to the influx of people visiting the region.

For the first time in its history, the Dowerin GWN7 Machinery field days did not go ahead in 2020 due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. But in 2021 it is back better than ever.

Field Days across Australia have been widely known to unite the industry and provide an opportunity to showcase the latest and greatest.

“We are incredibly proud of what this Field Days has achieved in the past 56 years and it is an exciting prospect on what we can achieve for the next 50-plus,” Dowerin GWN7 Machinery Field days chairperson Nadine McMorran said.

Field Days across Australia have been widely known to unite the industry and provide an opportunity to showcase the latest and greatest.

Dowerin is no different, they have expanded their exhibitor base to not only target machinery dealerships but create a platform for everyone involved in the whole supply chain to be involved.

For the first time in the event’s history visitor entrance tickets will be available online via the website and if recent sales are any indication, the event could again reach its peak of 24,000 visitors.

A ‘World Of Opportunity’ awaits you on August 25 & 26 and with hundreds of exhibitors showcasing the latest in agriculture along with lifestyle & leisure products there is something for everyone.
