Elmore field days event cancelled for 2020

The Elmore Field Days will not be held for 2020 following the committee’s unanimous decision to postphone until 2021

The Elmore and District Machinery Field Days Committee has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Elmore Field Days.

The event was to take place from 6 to 8 of October 2020.

However, due to the continuing presence of the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions and conditions around running outdoor events the committee felt it was is in the best interest of public health and safety for all exhibitors, volunteers and attendees.

This is a major blow to central Victorian agriculture as the three-day field days event attracted thousands of attendees each year, and added thousands of dollars into the local community.

From humble beginnings in 1964, this is the first time the Elmore Field Days has been cancelled.

It has taken decades of hard work and dedication from subsequent volunteer committees and sub-committees to ensure every event is even more successful than the last.

As a community owned and run, not for profit organisation, Elmore Field Days is focused on providing an unbiased service to agriculture and community with flow on economic benefit to regional areas.

The Elmore Field Days committee has always shown a a strong commitment to innovation in all forms and strive to make every event better than the last.

Development costs at the permanent are already over $2.5 million and the site is being continuously upgraded.

The purpose of the event is to give primary producers the opportunity to learn about the very latest in farming, and to give manufacturers the opportunity to display and demonstrate their innovations.

Elmore Field Days is run over three days that are filled with exhibits to help grow a farm business, there are machinery demonstrations, along with livestock, tillage and cropping demonstration.

In addition there is entertainment with live music, great food, kids activities, equestrian showcase, and recreation and leisure activities.

Elmore is located on the junction of the Midland and Northern Highway in Central Victoria.

Approximately two hours from Melbourne CBD, half an hour from Bendigo and Echuca and one hour from Shepparton.

The Field Days are located at the Elmore Event Centre at 48 Rosaia Road Elmore. Just a few minutes drive east of Elmore along the Midland Highway.

The next Elmore Field Days will be held on the 5, 6 and 7 October 2021.
