Fieldquip Slashers work out to 12.2m 40ft

No other company in Australia carries the range of Slashers and Mowers that is available from FieldQuip with many built right here in Australia and then add to that a selection of all the leading model designs from overseas as well

Fieldquip started out as a home-grown farm equipment manufacturer back in 2004, and quickly grew into one of the most prolific suppliers of slashers and rotary mowers.

The company was so successful it was incorporated into the giant Alamo Group in 2014.

Alamo is a multi-national corporation with a unique focus on manufacturing Agricultural machinery made up of name brand companies such as Spearhead, Bush Hog, and Rhino.

Alamo had already acquired Superior Equipment in 2013 a local manufacturer that had been running since 1973, so it now commanded the major market share of locally made slasher/mowing implements.

The Australian arm of Alamo now manufacturers and distributes under the Fieldquip badge and as such sells a wide range of machinery and tractor attachments.

Fieldquip caters for large agricultural and commercial operators, down to small farm hobbyists and residential users.

The Fieldquip range of products includes rotary mowers and slashers, sports turf roller-mowers, landscape implements, rotary tillers, large rear blades and front-end loader attachments.

One of the most popular product ranges made locally is the Fieldquip Series of slashers.

This is the implement range that quickly established Fieldquip as a leading name when it first started in 2004.

Fieldquip slashers cover widths from 1.2 to 12.2m (4 to 40ft), in a wide range of models that commence with the Sabre Series that suits tractor power from 13 to 29kW (18 to 40hp).

These three models introduce the range and work across 1.2 to 1.8m (3.6 to 6ft).

Fieldquip LE Series slashers cover widths from 1.5 to 2.0m (5 to 6.8ft), in a wide range of models – shown here is the sturdy LE Series slashers that suit tractor power from 22 to 55kW (30 to 75hp) with Cat I or II PTO’s

LE Series slashers from the range are also very popular because they suit tractor power from 22 to 55kW (30 to 75hp) with Cat I or II PTO’s.

The three models in this series work across an easily manageable 1.5 to 2m (5 to 6.8ft) width that suits a wide range of jobbing and are well built with a 5mm galvanised deck.

Heavy-duty models from Fieldquip kick off with the XHD Series with a thicker 6mm deck plate. Three models on offer also sport heavy-duty swing back lift blades and adjustable height castor wheels.

Choose from working widths of 1.8 to 2.2m (6 to 7.2ft). These models require tractor power of 110kW (150hp).

The LCT Series and heavier duty LXCT Series both come standard with a cat II three-point linkage with an option to load up to a cat III. There are three models in each series with working widths from 1.8 to 2.35m (6 to 7.10ft).

The LCT models work through a 96kW (130hp) high speed gearbox while heavy-duty LXCT models are fitted with a high-speed extreme duty 110kW (150hp) gearbox. Both series have a 6mm clean top design.

Fieldquip are also well known for their specialist orchard rotary slasher range.

The LCL Series is a side discharge orchard range that’s designed to place the grass clippings under the tree line. And while the two models in the range come standard with a 55kW (75hp) gearbox, this can be optioned up to 74kW (100hp).

Cutting widths of the LCL Series side discharge models are 1.8 or 2.15m (6 or 7ft).

A model well known to Macadamia, Citrus and Avocado orchardists is the LXSP soil profiler. The LXSP can throw under the tree line and also has the power to create a shallow V-drain to run excess water away.

To achieve this function the LXSP is armed with a super duty gearbox and heavy-duty deck construction. The current model LSXP5 cuts across a working width of 1.5m (5ft).

When you start adding in the full line of Fieldquip models, through its Alamo affiliation it incorporates some of the best-known model ranges of slashers that work across 1.2 to 12.2m (4 to 40ft) widths, in a wide combination of flail mowers, reach mowers, remote control mowers, pasture toppers and finishing mowers.

The Spearhead Destroyer scrub cutter has over a tonne of weight to throw into the foray, and an all steel 12mm deck with a 1.9m (6.3ft) cutting width, a minimum 74kW (100hp) of tractor power is recommended

Add to this the Spearhead Destroyer scrub cutter, and it does just that.

Get set as this formidable machine sets off pulverising heavy scrub and regrowth.

It’s fitted with a heavy-duty 12mm steel deck and pushes the drive through a bevel gearbox that has a continuous rating of 110kW (150hp) with a four-plate slip clutch for shock protection.

The three swinging blades fitted each weigh 7kg and run at a machinating tip speed of 83m/sec. Capable of tearing through any undergrowth.

With over a tonne of weight to throw into the foray, and an all steel 12mm deck with a 1.9m (6.3ft) cutting width, a minimum 74kW (100hp) of tractor power is recommended.

Fieldquip also offers the Bush Hog BH10 Series of slashers in cutting widths of 1.5, 1.8 and 2.1m (5, 6, and 7ft). These smooth deck models work with tractor power from 18 to 51kW (25 to 70hp).

Next up in the Bush Hog line is the 20 Series slashers with sloping 10-gauge decks. These are a heavier build and will take more impact while still offering cutting widths of 1.5, 1.8 and 2.1m (5, 6, and 7ft).

Fitted with a strong gearbox to resist thrust and side loads, tractor power from 26 to 40kW (35 to 55hp) is sufficient.

Cyclone rotary mulchers designed by Major Equipment of Ireland are deigned to do the work of a flail mower, but only require a fraction of that power, the MJ Range consists of six models with working widths from 2 to 5.6m (6.5 to 18.4ft)

A recent addition to the Fieldquip stable of products is the MJ range of Cyclone rotary mulchers designed by Major Equipment of Ireland.

The point of difference to these models is they are deigned to do the work of a flail mower, but only require a fraction of that power. For instance, a 2m (6.5ft) unit only requires 37kW (50hp) of tractor power.

The MJ Range consists of six models with working widths from 2 to 5.6m (6.5 to 18.4ft) so encompasses a wide range of jobbing.

Their build from 700MC high strength steel is a higher compound than standard machinery manufacture as a result these models are designed to cope with tough conditions.

They weigh in from 600 up to 1680kg and the range further evolves by running 3 to 8 rotors with hardened spring steel blades that simply can’t be stopped by anything.

Fieldquip also offers a comprehensive line of Rhino designed tractor pull-behind equipment including rotary cutters, finishing mowers, flail mowers and disc mowers.

This well proven range starts out with a heavily braced deck model the TW120 Series slasher, with a cutting width of 3 (9.8ft). It will cut material up to a 50mm (2-inch) diameter with ease.

With a strong 886kg galvanised deck it partners easily with a 44kW (60hp) tractor.

Moving up the demand scale are Rhino Turbo Series slashers with 2.4 and 3m working widths.

They weigh in at 907 and 1173kg respectively and with high power gearboxes only require 40 and 59kW (55 and 80hp) of tractor power to operate.

Rhino designed flex wing slashers add even more cutting power with the TS Series starting the fast cutting rush across 3.6m (11.8ft) from pto-power of 26kW (35hp).

The stand-out Rhino 6200m Series flex wing rotary slasher with a gearbox rated for 184kW (250hp) only requires pto-power of 59kW (80hp) to run and cuts across a 6m (19.7ft) path

With a graduation of Rhino models that runs up to the stand-out Rhino 6200m Series flex wing rotary slasher with a gearbox rated for 184kW (250hp) that only requires pto-power of 59kW (80hp) to run. The Rhino 6200m Series works across 6m (19.7ft).
