With an 8000-litre product tank capacity and spray coverage across 48 metres the Goldacres G8 allows growers to reach full potential

Goldacres is allowing farm operations to reach their full potential with its G8 Super Cruiser as the workload is essentially halved with its ability to haul and apply 8000-litres at high operating speeds up to 25kph, and a transport speed of up to 50kph.
In addition, the Goldacres G8 can be armed with the most current booms for precise application, able to work out to widths of 48-metres.
The G8 has become the first choice in high-capacity spraying as this model is firmly aimed at providing growers with everything they need to expand their operational coverage and complete the work much quicker.
As a local sprayer manufacturer, Goldacres has long adopted the philosophy that its model range is built to compete head-on with any manufacturer worldwide and has kept local growers at the leading edge of productivity for almost 50 years.

The G8 Super Cruiser self-propelled sprayer is highly prominent within the line-up, a model that has been a high-capacity sales winner for the company since its release in 2016.
The G8 is the model growers choose when they move up from a 4000 or 6000-litre product capacity, quite often following expansion, simply because they need to get more done in a quicker time.
For growers that make the leap, operators quite often feel the immediate benefit of the time saving it brings with it and praise the G8 for its huge capacity, simplicity of operation and above all its bulletproof reliability.
Like all Goldacres self-propelled sprayers the G8 operates on a full mechanical driveline, with the only exception in this instance, no drop legs are used to provide a lower centre of gravity.

Goldacres have had great reliability running Cummins engines and the G8 continues that success, powered by a QSB 6.7-litre engine able to produce 181kW (260hp) and complete the jobbing within tight timeframes.
The driveline is coupled to an Allison 6-speed automatic transmission and this, combination gives the G8 Super Cruiser an impressive power-to-weight ratio with minimal losses through the efficient mechanical driveline.
Full-time 4WD is standard on 3-metre axles, combined with the lightest tare weight in its class at 12 tonnes.
It’s easy to see why the G8 has been a clear standout for its go-anywhere spraying ability. As while the G8 is a large carrying capacity sprayer, being big in this case is certainly not heavy on the ground.
Operators running such a big buggy can be assured of the safety built-in starting with front and rear axles offering an extreme rated planet hub reduction design with internal wet multi-disc brakes and differential lock.

Spray application accuracy
At the business end of the spray application, the operator has a choice of TriTech V Series booms in 36, 42 or 48-metre widths.
All booms are fitted with the industry-leading TriTech 3-way suspension system for the most exact boom control.
The Goldacre G8 fitted with a 48-metre boom has become an industry leader due to its ability to be configured in three spray working widths for the best application outcome. In widths of 20, 36 and 48-metres.

For farm operations that need the most precise application methods there’s no shortage of spray technology available with options such as 3TS, Goldacres proven three-tier air-operated spraying system.
Taking it up a notch further if required is 3TS-Pro, a seven-tier system plumbed in 16 boom sections.
Or take a closer look at Hawkeye PWM for the added benefit of ultimate precision individual nozzle control and turn compensation.
All of Goldacres’ precise application systems include boom recirculation as a standard fitment.
For even greater control the operator can choose Weedetect camera weed detection that is available for green-on-brown spraying applications and also green-on-green weed detection for in crop control.

Operator functions are covered
The Goldacres G8 will carry out some of the most important tasks in the paddock and as a result, operators will be spending some long hours in harness during critical time.
As a result, Goldacres engineers have stepped up with one of the most comfortable environments for the operator by fitting a familiar CLAAS cabin.
Combined with the mechanical driveline the average engine operation of 1400rpm coupled with rear-mounted twin exhausts, it has the lowest cabin noise level in its class at just 65db.
Add to that a good ride quality, with a low bonnet position that works to achieve a 320-degree view and you start to see many benefits for the operator.

With the cabin positioned behind the front axle, it alleviates a lot of vertical movement and along with the five-link air bag chassis suspension system and an air seat, it gives the operator confidence to move firmly through the work.
The operator controls inside the cab include a multifunctional monitor that displays engine and transmission information while the side console gives access to push button selection and other vital machine functions.
Operators of the G8 Super Cruiser can unleash the full spray arsenal at any time with settings activated through the Goldacres G-Motion handle with precise palm-of-hand control.
Functions include setting individual or dual boom wing tilt, lifting and lowering while setting the auto steer and cruise control with all master spraying operations within the G-Motion handle.

A further advantage to running a G8 is full ISOBUS compatibility to ensure all sub-systems can communicate through one console, across every piece of precision farming technology.
The G8 can be armed with dual screens with a popular combination being for mapping and guidance displayed on the large screen, while rate information can readily be picked up on the smaller screen.
