Goldacres is proud to be a wholly Australian owned and operated business and now uses the Australian Made logo to reflect that status.
As a local industry-leading manufacturer of spraying equipment, Goldacres is driven by its philosophy to provide farmers with equipment and technology that delivers results.
The company consistently strives for innovation, quality and adaptability through a proactive approach to the research and development of its versatile range of sprayers.
Heading up the Goldacres range of trailing sprayers is the Prairie Pro designed for broadacre applications.
The Prairie Pro is available in four product tank sizes, 5000, 6500, 7500 and 8500-litres, with Tri-Tech boom widths ranging from 24 to 48 metres.
Models can be optioned with many standard functions to ensure the greatest accuracy such as 3TS Rapid Fire and RapidFlow boom recirculation.
Goldacres was already a pioneer of the use of lightweight aluminium in its outer boom wings over two decades ago.
The resulting reduction in mass on the boom extremities reduces boom forces in both yaw and roll to produce a stable boom ride, regardless of the terrain.
TriTech booms are also contour following, meaning that the boom level will be referenced to the sprayer chassis and not purely on gravity such as a pendulum boom.
This allows the sprayer to transverse the sides of hills and contours while keeping the boom level to the ground and places the nozzle at the optimum height above the target.
Hydraulic yaw, that precisely controls the forwards and backwards movement of the boom wings to minimise the under and over applying of chemical, is now standard on all TriTech boom widths.
The strategically placed centre section suspension links help isolate the boom from sprayer chassis movement over rough terrain.
This, combined with the tuned damping characteristics, allows precise roll control to enable consistent nozzle height to be maintained.
All Goldacres TriTech booms are constructed using lightweight trussing techniques, that allows for a stronger design without weight, the enemy of boom agility.
The Goldacres 3TS Rapid Fire nozzle system incorporates a three-step process.
Each nozzle type has an operating pressure band for a given droplet size. As the first nozzle reaches the top of the pressure band it switches off and the next larger size nozzle switches on.
When that nozzle reaches the top of that pressure band the first nozzle will switch on again, effectively giving three operating bands.
A boom parallelogram lift mechanism on Prairie Pro models provides 1200mm of boom height adjustment as well as vertical boom suspension.
Three heavy walled torque tubes and diagonal bracing have also been added to ensure minimal flexing and increased yaw stability.
Multiple wheel-track and tyres sizes are also available and the axle to drawbar long wheelbase provides for a more stable boom yaw and also serves to reduce any sideways pushing forces on the tractor.
With polyurethane cushioned connection points in place to reduce chassis and tractor drawbar stress, the narrow drawbar final section allows tighter headland turning.
While the full turn swivel forged tow eye ensures 360-deg articulation between the sprayer and tractor.
Goldacres has ensured the main tank can easily and safely be accessed from either side.
Open foot treads provide safe access to the platform in any conditions, and the lower portion folds out of the way when not in use.
The Prairie Special is popular for pasture and horticultural growers that need a medium capacity trailing sprayer.
This sprayer is available in two frame configurations: the popular 1500 to 3000-litre small frame and the 4000 to 6500-litre large frame.
Small frame Prairie Special models are available with Delta booms ranging from 12 to 24 metres, while the large frame models can carry either Delta or Tri-Tech booms in coverage widths ranging from 18 to 36 metres.
Growers have the option to specify a Delta boom with proven stability from the three-way suspension system.
Standard build on these booms are mild steel inner wings with lightweight aluminium outer wings, plus full hydraulic lift and fold.
Where there are known harder working conditions to contend with, growers have the option to run with a TriTech boom up to 24m for ultimate reliability and control.
Built-in as standard on TriTech booms is hydraulic yaw to precisely control all forward and backward movement of the boom wings.
This also works to minimise any under or over chemical application.
The centre section suspension links isolate any excess sprayer chassis movement on rough terrain.
Coupled with tuned damping characteristics this allows precise roll control with the benefit of maintaining an optimal and consistent nozzle height.
Large diameter single wheels, fixed or airbag suspension axles and optional track widths provides the operator with a configuration for almost any situation.
As well as its full range of broadacre, horticulture and pasture sprayers, Goldacres also caters for contractor and home and garden markets with a range of smaller trailed, as well as tray-mounted and three-point linkage sprayers. In total there are some 65 models to choose from.
