GreenTech has been recognised for over 20 years as the foremost manufacturer of chemical application technology for vineyards and tree crops, and has now applied that expertise to vegetable crops, including nurseries
Chances are the next glass of wine you drink while enjoying that delicious slice of fresh fruit or handful of nuts this Christmas you can be at ease with the knowledge that all that produce could have been sprayed and protected through its growth cycle using a GreenTech spray system.
From Coonawarra region, McLaren Vale, Adelaide Hills, Barossa Valley and in the Riverland in South Australia, to Griffith in New South Wales, Bundaberg in South Queensland, across the top end to Kununurra in the Northern Territory, down to Moora in Western Australia, and around to Busselton and Pemberton in the great south of Western Australia, also Tasmania.
Even over the Tasman Sea to New Zealand, across the Pacific Ocean to the US and down to South America grape growers, tree crop growers and vegetable crop growers have universally turned to GreenTech to help solve their crop protection needs.
For over 20 years GreenTech, has built a reputation as the foremost authoritative manufacturer of chemical application technology for vineyards, tree crops, and most recently, vegetable crops, including nurseries. This privately-owned manufacturing company based in South Australia has established a global business that started from out of one room in an old Queen Anne home in the western suburbs of Adelaide.
Many growers recognising the benefits of a GreenTech spray systems.
The GreenTech technology has proven itself as the spray system of choice with its industrial low power consumption electrical fan spray heads.
The GreenTech technology combines unparalleled spray coverage with outstanding cost savings and reliabilities.
Over the years the GreenTech technology has become the benchmark in vineyard and tree fungicide spraying. GreenTech products provide safety, maximum efficiency with its cutting-edge electrical-driven fan technology producing air volume and droplets in the correct locality around the canopies where required.
The GreenTech spray head technology was developed by GreenTech is renowned in both the horticulture and agriculture industries for its simplicity and reliability.
Tests by SARDI/CSIRO, confirms the efficient use of an industrial electrical motor underpins the proven performance and reliability of the system in the field.
GreenTech confirms, “The electrical fan technology together with the robust design of our spray machines meet international standards, allowing us to deliver proven crop protection solutions tailor made for the requirements of our diverse client base.”
Growers such as Kevin Schild Pty Ltd in the beautiful Barossa Valley has expended to several 100 hectares. Likewise in Barossa Valley, Stephan Stoll, owns and operates the company Wine Grape Management SA Pty Ltd.
The company offer vineyard management services and owns several GreenTech spray systems. Stephan says that there are no better spray system on the market than the GreenTech, “We have used these greater machines for over 15 years and it is the best investment we have made.”
They provide the best spray coverage and effectively result reducing cost”.
After critically evaluating a number of sprayers on the market, these growers settled on a sprayer from GreenTech, manufactured in Australia, specifically for Australian growing conditions.
Both Kevin and Stephan believe the future for Australian vineyards are to implement mechanisation and lower cost for their businesses.
Stephan further says, “The spray head technology was critical in our decision making process. With our climate and associated pests and diseases, we needed to ensure that the entire vine canopy is covered, including, could receive chemical application in the most efficient and cost effective way.”
Stephan and Kevin says that GreenTech’s spray systems are unique design with electrical fan motors produces high air volume that is extremely effective in applying chemicals to the vine crop.
Other such growers recognising the benefits of a GreenTech sprayer are Queensland based avocado growers Alvise and Noalene Brazzale who has just taken delivery of one of the largest GreenTech machines and Neil Delroy manager of Jasper Farms Busselton WA.
“Our avocado plantation spans some about 100 hectares (and about equal of mangos trees) we faced some unique challenges managing fruit-spotting bugs and scale, which if not controlled effectively could result in lost crop, and lost income,” explains Alvise.
After critically evaluating a number of sprayers on the market, Alvise settled on a tall tree sprayer from GreenTech, manufactured in Australia, specifically for Australian growing conditions.
“The spray head technology was critical in our decision making process.
With our climate and associated pests and diseases, we needed to ensure that the entire tree, including the very top of our 6.5 to 7 metre trees, could receive chemical application in the most efficient and cost effective way,” explains Alvise.
“Green Tech’s tall tree sprayer with its unique design and electrical fan motors produces high air volume that is extremely effective in applying chemicals to my trees and crop.
The power requirement to operate the fans is so low that I was also able to save on diesel fuel expenditure, while not having to worry about any potential hydraulic oil contamination to my crop. It was a good business decision.”
Neil Delroy of Jasper Farms Busselton WA, is Western Australia’s largest avocado
operation producing more than one million trays per year. Over the years, Jaspers Farms has purchased several GreenTech spray systems for applying fungicides to tall avocado trees.
“The GreenTech spray system is the best on the market as it produces very high volume and medium velocity of air and supports extended adjustable arms giving it the capacity to reach the top of tall trees,” Mr Delroy said.
On top of the strength of the GreenTech product, it produces the right droplets for obtaining the best spray coverage with excellent cost saving and reliability.
Working with a diverse client base has allowed GreenTech to design and develop innovative technologies to meet customer demand while reducing operational costs for the grower.
A case in point is the custom built harvester for mango’s that was delivered a few years ago to one of the Northern Territory’s largest mango farms. Allowing mangos to be harvested, washed, and crated, the harvester has been highly effective in increasing productivity while reducing operational costs for the grower.
“As a business, our guiding principle is to develop, manufacture and deliver solutions that we know are of the highest quality,” Mr Baek said With over 2000 GreenTech machines in operation throughout Australia, New Zealand, South America, New Caledonia and the United States, founder and managing director Benz Baek says that demand for proven crop protection technology and solutions has never been higher.
Benz quotes that one prominent horticulture manager said, “If your crop protection technology is not applying the chemical efficiently and accurately you are wasting money on expensive chemical, diesel fuel, labour and tractor and machinery hours!”
“We must develop, manufacture, and deliver solutions that we know are of the highest quality. This must always be the guiding principle of our business. We will continue to build an even stronger brand and reputation, and as a consequence continue to be the preferred choice in the market.”
