Househam has introduced a limited edition, feature-packed version of its popular Air Ride self-propelled sprayer that’s fitted with a host of desirable factory upgrades.

The Air Ride Xtra is based on the same versatile, low-weight platform as the standard model, but comes with an upgraded spray pack, enhanced lighting package, boom protection and higher-spec control screen.

For increased productivity and efficiency, the sprayer is fitted with a six-cylinder Altek pump, a 4000-litre GRP tank, 30-litre stainless steel induction hopper with twin can-rising nozzles and a 24m double-fold boom with 10 sections on a single line.

The Air Ride Xtra is built on a proven low-weight chassis that incorporates a load-sensing air suspension for a smooth ride while power comes from a clean and reliable Stage 5, 4-cylinder MTU engine with power of 168kW (228hp) or choose a CAT 7.1-litre Tier 3 engine offering 169kW (230hp)

There’s also a rear protection bar plus break-back nozzle protector for added piece of mind.

Operators benefit from several upgrades, including Househam’s unique TMC (Total Machine Control System) with Fieldmaster GPS mapping.

TMC is an intuitive, easy-to-use, touchscreen console that provides fingertip control of all the machine’s functions.

The Air Ride Xtra, also incorporates Househam’s FieldMaster GPS mapping system, which offers precise control of application rate, improved accuracy and reduced overspray, particularly in irregularly shaped fields.

Early or late spraying sessions are made easier due to a comprehensive lighting package that includes a high-level front light bar, induction hopper light, flashing amber lights front and rear, plus an illuminated spray gauge.

There is an impressive 110cm ground clearance, and this significantly reduces the chance of crop damage, and track width can be adjusted to accommodate any tramline spacings.

The spacious, quiet cab provides the operator with panoramic visibility including an excellent view of the boom.

Standard specification includes full climate control, a high-back Grammer air-suspended seat, cool box, DAB radio and CD with Bluetooth, plus electrically adjustable mirrors.
