John Deere will soon start delivery of its 9RX narrow track tractors.
Equipped with a narrow under carriage with a four-track configuration these models are a perfect fit for controlled traffic farming with track width choices of 460mm (18-in) or 610mm (24-in) and track spacing options of 2, 2.2 or 3m (80, 88 or 120-in).
The three models in this range, the 9420RX, 9470RX and 9520RX offer engine power of 309, 346, and 382kW (420, 470 and 520hp) respectively from the 13.5-litre PowerTech engine, so growers can put them to work handling large grain carts and wide planter rigs.
John Deere now offers a complete gambit of high powered models in its 9 Series tractors. These include wheel models, 2 and 4-track models with wide undercarriage configurations and now the narrow tracks. Overall engine power ratings range from 272 to 456kW (370 to 620hp).
Buyers will be getting the latest advances in engine technology and enhanced flotation along with plenty of ground-gripping traction.
The narrow undercarriage tractor is also an ideal fit for 550mm (22-in), 760mm (30-in) and 1010mm (40-in) row crop applications.
When a 9RX narrow gets to work in a row-crop setting there are only two narrow track paths going down the row, instead of the extra or wider ruts made by tractors equipped with duals or triples.
These narrow track tractors can reduce the negative effects on pinch rows, and will reduce soil compaction and minimise soil disturbance for greater yields.
The 9RX models are fitted as standard with John Deere’s CommandView III cab with four-corner suspension and 100mm of travel. From the roomy cab, operators also get ActiveCommand steering.
Big on integrated technology all important machine functions are easily monitored and controlled using the integrated Gen 4 CommandCenter display.
A touch-screen on the Gen 4 Display makes it easy to watch and manage performance and precision-ag technology.
The design of the 9RX tracks is for matched, full-width mid-rollers to reduce pressure, heat and wear, and extend the life of the tracks. Rubber isolators and oscillating mid-rollers minimise cab vibration and provide an ultra-smooth ride. For more information, contact your local John Deere dealer by logging into: https://dealerlocator.deere.com/servlet/region=5
