John Deere and Mazzotti sprayers release specialist models

John Deere inspired Mazzotti SP Sprayers are being released into several world markets

Mazzotti sprayers based in Ravenna Italy were taken over by John Deere in 2017, to position the brand for worldwide market release.

The business was well known for its continued developments in self-propelled sprayers, but previously these models were sold in southern Europe for more specialist crop production.

Now fitted with a with a full complement of John Deere engine and transmission updates, Mazzotti sprayers are now moving into several northern hemisphere markets.

One of the first models being offered in the John Deere enhanced Mazzotti range is the 129kW (175hp) MAF 3580 with a 3,750-litre product capacity model that works best when matched with a 24m boom.

Also ready for delivery is the larger capacity 221kW (300hp) MAF 6240 that carries 6,600-litres of product capacity and runs very evenly with 36m boom.

Both sprayers are suitable for large-scale broadacre cropping and get their power from John Deere Powertech engines with hydrostatic transmission.

Each model carries two hydraulic pumps, are four-wheel drive, have four-wheel steer with crab steering and offer a high clearance up to a maximum of 1.7m.

The cabin is finished to a high specification and offers Category 4 operator protection as well as current joystick control.

The computerised display and diagnostic monitoring system is able to display images coming from the rear and also optional front-mounted video cameras.

Hydro-pneumatic suspension allows the Mazzoti to run at a work speed of 20kph and road speeds up to 50kph.

Additional functions now include hydraulic front and rear wheel motors, hydraulic track adjustment with optional automatic adjustment from the cab, easy to access spray controls and stainless steel, variable geometry, self- levelling booms.

Both models can also be equipped with John Deere’s AMS precision farming systems, including a StarFire 6000 satellite receiver, AutoTrac automatic steering options, GreenStar displays and JDLink wireless communications.

Mazzotti self-propelled sprayers will be available from John Deere dealers that consider the brand a comfortable fit within their current operations.
