John Deere has revealed four new S700 Series combine with the most advanced grain harvesting technology in combines they have ever released. These models designated as the S760, S770, S780 and S790 offer growers the most significant improvement ever from the Deere stable in technology, improved operator comfort and better data functions, along with the 700C/FC Series headers and 700D drapers for more efficient harvesting.
Building on the S600 Series introduced in 2012, the new S700 Series combines will incorporate the latest in-automated harvesting technology. Many of these changes are designed to make it easier on the operator by allowing the combine to render adjustments automatically, on the go.
This is through the Combine Advisor package that incorporates seven technologies to help operators set, optimise and automate the combine for the most effective harvesting in all crop and paddock conditions.
Another addition to S700 Series combines is Active Yield technology. This function will automatically calibrate the mass flow sensor, eliminating the need for manual calibrations and also ensuring the best data is collected.
The biggest physical difference operators will see in the S700 Series combines is in the cab. This starts with a new CommandCenter that provides a common user experience across Deere’s larger tractor and self-propelled sprayer lines.
Performance functions of the CommandCenter include a Gen 4 interface and monitor with 4600 processer; CommandArm and multi-function control lever with greater ergonomic design and customisable buttons that include premium activation with AutoTrac, RowSense and HarvestDoc; and Extended Monitor and mobile device functions. In addition, operators will find set up and start up much quicker and easier, due to more intuitive harvest run and setup screens.
Current John Deere S600 Series owners will be first in line for these updated models.
