Visitors to the Devonport-based machinery dealer’s site will see tillage and seeding implements as well as Kubota tractors, skid steers and wheel loaders and new Krone harvesting implements.
Mark Allott is Kubota Implements product manager for Kubota Tractor Australia and said the new implements covered a range of applications for small and large farming and contracting businesses.
Kubota Corporation bought the Kverneland Group of farm machinery factories in 2012, with Kverneland implements now sold in Australia under the Kubota brand.
“Kverneland has been building farm machinery for 138 years,” Mr Allott said.
“Kubota will be tapping into that depth of expertise and experience Kverneland has built up over the years, but it will also be paving its own way and developing new machines.
“All of the machinery that Kubota Implements is bringing to Australia has the high specs needed to perform well in our conditions,” he said.
Kubota Implements also announced it would sell a range of Kubota-branded fertiliser spreaders in January, with those implements on show at Agfest.
These include disc spreaders with hopper capacities up to 3900L and spreading widths up to 54m; tillage implements, such as speed discs, cultivators, power harrows, mulchers and ploughs; and seeding units, including seed drills, precision planters, vegetable planters and seed boxes; all of which can be seen at the field days.
ISOBUS controls are available on all spreaders, planters and pneumatic seed drills, Mr Allott said.
“Last year Kubota Tractors Australia introduced its most powerful tractors yet. The M7-1 tractor range has three models with horsepower from 130hp to 170hp. The implements we are importing in Kubota clothes will match very well with the M7-1 range and even larger tractors,” he said.
“The Kubota SE mulcher range runs from 0.9m units up to 4.0m units and they are rated up to 260 PTOhp. We also have reversible ploughs up to six furrows, rigid and folding power harrows up to 5m wide, and tine cultivators up to 4m wide.
“Our compact speed discs are proving to be popular. They come in rigid and folding configurations with the rigid version in 2.5m, 3m, 3.5m and 4m and the folding in 4m and 5m,” he said.
Mark Allott said it was very exciting to be part of Kubota’s efforts to provide a range of new products and services to Tasmanian farmers.
