When it comes to feeding time at the farm, there’s no doubt that speed and efficiency are important. That’s why Kuhn released a double-auger mixer wagon, the Profile 30.2 DL.
These mixer wagons are a fast with an effective delivery system for feed, they really prove their worth when it comes to breaking up bales, cutting hay and straw and incorporating silage, grain, minerals and concentrates to deliver a more balanced ration.
Operators can add extra knives on to the augers to chop feed more finely, and the machines also have two hydraulic counter knives for ease and convenience.
The Profile 30.2DL has a 2-speed gear box for faster mixing for efficiency, plus it’s a scalable solution which enables the operator to add extensions to increase capacity.
Aimed at larger feeding operations, the Kuhn Profile 30.2 DL is a double-auger mixer wagon with a 30 cubic metre capacity. It is designed for intensive use while demanding only a low power input.
Kuhn has stamped this machine with its innovative patent technology, creating a tandem axle machine that has a 5-point weighing system to ensure consistent precision when mixing large volumes of feed.
The wagon is built strong with an integrated chassis to make the machine sturdy enough to handle rough farm terrain.
Kuhn representative Tom De Greenlaw said the Profile 30.2DL has an auger made of K-NOX stainless steel to offer superior resistance to friction and the fatty acids contained in some fodder and increase the re-sale value of the machine due to its resistance to wear.
The Profile 30.2DL also comes standard with a 0.8m PVC conveyor, plus standard Kuhn mixer features with everything from a pressed hopper for strength and mix consistency.
It also has hydraulic brakes, tilted hay ring, digi-star weighing systems, electric control, and a secondary display box that communicates wirelessly to the weigh box on the mixer with a range up to 90 metres.
