With a full range of linkage and trailed sprayers available, the company is set to formally launch the self propelled Pantera to the Australian market ahead of the anticipated release of a high capacity 6000-litre model expected in the next 12 months.

A 4500 litre, 36 metre boom Pantera with the company’s tandem chassis design, all wheel steer, adjustable axle width adjustment from 2.25 m to 3.05m and fitted with a range of boom technology including boom pressure and recirculation control, bi-fold, auto height control and LED boom lighting, is first off the rank in Amazone’s self-propelled roll out.

The company is confident the capacity, specifications and options together with service and support will make the suite of Pantera models a key competitor in the Australian farming landscape in coming years.

Amazone specialist Craig Hopkins said Landpower had delivered Pantera’s into Australia on a demand basis in the past but was now ready to formally roll-out the German made sprayer.

“The demonstration program features a 4500-litre model which will showcase the machine’s attributes and performance and allow us to run through the boom and nozzle technology available.

“We can then look to the introduction of larger capacity machines when they become available.”

The Pantera’s boom widths and options available, including AmaSwitch and AmaSelect quad nozzle bodies, which allow individual nozzle control and can be fitted to 25 cm spacings, together with tank sizes and axle adjustment would address most application needs Mr Hopkins said.

Mr Hopkins said he is anticipating good take up but was keen to impress that dealer training and parts and service support were key factors in the roll out plans.

The Pantera is autosteer ready with Amapad or Topcon and can be fitted with a Trimble or Deere Greenstar kit.

The Pantera will be joined on the demo program by the brand’s flagship trailed sprayer – the 12,000-litre capacity UX11200. Claas Axion and Arion tractors, Amazone ZATS linkage spreaders and an ZGTS 8200 litre capacity trailed spreader, Catros disc tillers and Cenius tined cultivators round out a fleet of gear on the demo program that initially takes in Esperance, Katanning and Geraldton.
