Manitou MLA is testing articulated telescopic market

Manitou’s MLA-T 533-145 pivot-steer handler comes with a maximum lift capacity of 3.3 tonnes, and a 5.2m reach

Manitou is testing the water in the pivot-steer market with a new version of its MLA handler.

The MLA-T 533-145 comes with a maximum lift capacity of 3.3 tonnes, a 5.2m reach and has a 105kW (143hp) Deutz engine under the rear hood.

The central positioning and width of the cab offers good visibility including the position of the overhead protection grid for loads reaching maximum height.

Access to the cab is either from the left- or right-hand side. The load chart indicates a maximum capacity of 3.3 tonnes at a 5.2m lifting height, aided by the 2D central articulation and oscillating rear axle.

This proven Manitou function creates impressive stability at full articulation.

The operator will also appreciate the impressive comfort and safety when operating the telescopic boom on uneven terrain.

The key advantage is manoeuvrability, with a sharp turning radius; the MLA is even capable of performing a U-turn in cramped quarters.

With ”Intelligent Hydraulics” it’s able to provide access to Quick Lift, Bucket Shake and Return to Dig, combined with “Active CRC” boom suspension, this model allows the operator to get a lot more productivity.
