One of this season’s additions is a wider tyre for DBS machines designed to allow farmers to take full advantage of the new generation of paired row seeding boots now available in the Australian market.
The new range of press wheels offers farmers using the paired row systems complete coverage of the seed.
Manutec has also added paired row tyres into its own range and into some of the John Deere range. This means that those customers with existing Manutec, John Deere or DBS systems can take full advantage of the paired row seeding systems.
The press options include a wider flat tyre for use in loam soils, a wide shallow wedge tyre for use in sandy soils and a wide round tyre for use in heavy or sandy soils.
The wide shallow wedge tyre is also designed to reduce side wall erosion in sandy soils and one version of the wide round tyre has been designed using Manutec’s Mud Razor technology to operate in sticky soils.
It is important that farmers who are using or planning to use the paired row seeding systems also consider the press wheel that they are using so as to ensure they derive the maximum benefit from their investment.
Whether it is clay, sand or rock, Manutec has a press wheel tyre designed to operate in those conditions.
Additionally, through the use of rapid prototyping new tyres to fix issues with press wheels, closer wheels or gauge wheels on a range of other manufacturer’s equipment can be manufactured.

The agri-hub option is a completely sealed, maintenance free hub specifically designed for use in tillage. It increases productivity and cuts down the through life costs of running press wheels.
