Marshall Multispreaders is a testament to advanced Aussie design and manufacture

Roesner has developed Marshall Multispreaders to iconic brand status and market leader for accuracy and product cost savings with ingenious i4M technology

The biggest capacity Marshall Multispread trailed models are in the 900 series with six models starting with 4.5 tonnes product capacity and moving up to the flagship 916T model with a 16 tonnes product capacity and granulated product spread width of 36m

Marshall Multispreader holds a strong position as the top-selling fertiliser spreader in our local market, and its winning design and manufacture have been made possible by Roesner Pty Ltd, an all-Aussie family run company with a proud 122-year history.

When the Marshall Multispread range was launched in the 1980s, it was developed in response to changing farming practices and the demand for a spreader that could handle a wide variety of ameliorants.

The Marshall Multispreader was a breakthrough product line as it provided local farmers with the most cost-effective and efficient method of spreading a wide range of fertilisers for all on-farm applications.

Original buyers included owners of small mixed farms and specialist operations such as vineyards and market gardens, right through to large-scale broadacre properties.

All due to the expansive range of models to draw from, and their ability to get fertiliser spread just as the farm operation determined.

Marshall Multispreaders remain as Roesner’s best-selling product line to date, with more than 11,000 models manufactured and working tirelessly in farm operations.

The six models in the 800 Series include the 825T with a 2.5 tonnes product capacity and lead up to the 814T with the highest 800 Series capacity at 14 tonnes for large farm operations and a granulated product spread width of 36m

Ahead of the curve

Firmly committed to staying ahead of industry trends and changing farm operation demands, Roesner has ensured the Marshall Multispread has kept pace with an ever-changing agricultural industry.

In 2013, the company also added software and electronics to expand product operations for the fast changing precision agriculture market, and with the added technology, Roesner took Multispreaders to the highest level of accuracy in the marketplace.

The first software product, the Multispread Calibration app was released in 2013, followed by the award-winning Multispread MDC app in 2015 – at the time one of the first hardware systems for ag machinery based on mobile device technology in the world.

The smartphone app delivers up-to-date machine calibration and operating information to mobile devices while working in the paddock.

A further advancement came in 2018 when Roesner acquired Precision Agronomics Australia (PAA), an industry leading company at the forefront of precision farming and variable rate technology.

The allowed Roesner’s MDC system to be merged with PAA’s Ratex system, and rapidly accelerated the development of the i4M brand of machine controllers, mobile apps and web-based systems.

Products that boosted efficiency

As the cost of farm inputs continued to rise, Roesner provided some relief with the release of two product lines to further improve the Multispread system.

The D3 Spinner System and i4M Tracer GPS. These work to ensure spreading efficiency is maximised through the accurate placement of fertilisers, even at wider operating widths and also through reduced overlaps.

The result was cost savings from ongoing precision placement of fertiliser, ensuring farmers continued to achieve greater efficiencies and maximise their return through high production levels.

The D3 Spinner System is the result of over three years of research, design and paddock testing with a range of different fertiliser types and in different farming conditions to achieve accurate spread patterns up to 36m with Urea and other granulated fertilisers, the D3 system features a new spinner vane design, a central spinner cone and deflector chute

D3 Spinner System

The D3 spinner system is the result of over three years of research, design and thorough paddock testing with a range of different fertiliser types and in different farming conditions.

Designed and independently tested to achieve accurate spread patterns up to 36m with Urea and other granulated fertilisers, the D3 system has a unique spinner vane design, a central spinner cone and a deflector chute.

“The D3 spinner is the result of over 300 physical tests both in a controlled environment and in real paddock conditions,” Roesner Technical Director Matthew Roesner outlined.

“We’ve aimed at achieving the widest possible spread width with an even co-efficient of variation to allow for changes in fertiliser properties and wind conditions – in essence, more margin for error in the paddock.”

The upgraded D3 spinners are supplied on all current Multispread machines and are also available as a retrofit kit to older model machines.

The i4M Tracer GPS couples both coverage mapping and auto-shutoff features with the popular i4M Variable Rate spreader controller for a cost-effective variable rate control system, it uses an Android tablet and precision GPS receiver mounted on the spreader to achieve coverage mapping and auto shutoff independent of tractor GPS systems

The i4M Tracer GPS

In addition, the i4M Tracer GPS couples both coverage mapping and auto-shutoff functions with the popular i4M Variable Rate spreader controller.

The i4M system was developed initially by Precision Agronomics Australia, later taken over by Roesner, and is a cost-effective variable rate control system that is well-proven in the paddock.

“The i4M Tracer GPS is a unique product, it uses an Android tablet and precision GPS receiver mounted on the spreader, to achieve coverage mapping and auto-shutoff independent of tractor GPS systems,” Matt Roesner added.

The i4M system is designed for Australian farmers by a local team of engineers, backed by a local support network to ensure any farm operation can maximise their investment in Precision Agriculture technology.

Roesner 800 Series Multispread models offer economical running costs

Proven models in the range

The trailed range of Multispread models includes the economically priced 800 Series with a reliable chain/belt feed design.

The six models in the 800 Series includes the starting point 825T model with a 2.5 tonnes product capacity ideally suited for small farm spreading and vineyard orchard operations.

The 825T offers application rates from 20 to 8000kg/ha (with ground drive) while spread widths for granulated product are up to 28m, while non-granulated is up to 12m.

You can clock up a handy working speed in the paddock up to 25kph under load, while road speed is 80kph when unloaded.

There are further model choices offering 2.5, 6, 10, and 12 tonnes product capacities leading up to the 814T with the highest capacity at 14 tonnes for large farm operations.

The 814T offers application rates from 20 to 8000kg/ha (with ground drive) while spread widths for granulated product are up to 36m, while non-granulated is up to 16m.
