Massey Ferguson 9130 Plus sprayers offers value package

Massey Ferguson’s MF9130 Plus sprayer is designed in a compact package that works efficiently out to 40M

The Massey Ferguson MF 9130 Plus sprayer is filling an important gap in the mid-capacity self-propelled market as it fills a demand in the Australian and New Zealand markets for a robust, entry level model.

The MF 9130 Plus is full time 4WD with a proven cross-drive transmission system.

It’s considered the ideal machine to suit smaller and medium sized operators who appreciate its simplicity, strength and value.

Among the main benefits of the MF 9130 Plus is a large capacity Bosch Rexroth hydrostatic transmission with three operating ranges. The transmission is coupled with Bosch Rexroth variable displacement wheel motors and final drives.

Two large capacity 90cc pumps work together to maintain constant traction. One pump drives the front left and rear right wheel whilst the second pump drives the front right and rear left wheel.

This ensures that if a wheel hits a wet patch and breaks traction or if the weight comes off one wheel in extreme undulations, all the other wheels continue driving to keep the machine moving forward.

A unique function of the MF 9130 Plus is the addition of a DA (double acting) valve to the transmission system. This allows the sprayer to run normally at reduced engine rpm.

The MF9130 Plus sprayer cab offer excellent all round vision and is a neat place to perch while running across the ground quickly

The MF 9130’s engine will run happily at 1700 to1800 rpm while maintaining full torque for the engine and hydraulic system. For operators the benefits include excellent fuel efficiency and prolonged life of the sprayer’s hydraulic system.

The MF 9130 Plus is powered by an AGCO Power, 6-cylinder, 154kW (210hp) engine that conforms to the Tier 3 emissions standard. It has a 365-litre fuel tank.

The commodity tank has a 3000-litre capacity mated to a 549-litre per minute Hypro stainless steel main commodity pump.

Booms are available in 24 or 28m widths with fence line nozzles and Norac boom levelling as standard. Booms come in seven sections with section and rate control also standard.

Axle spacing is hydraulically adjustable from the machine’s cab and an autonomous auto steer upgrade is available. Operators will also appreciate the air seat and all controls easily to hand on the arm rest.

An air bag suspension system delivers a smooth ride for the MF 9130 Plus in the paddock or on the road between jobs.

Another unique point of the MF 9130 is its C-Flex chassis that flexes to allow the machine to traverse slopes, banks and challenging ground contours.

The frame is not welded at any point, so when the suspension runs out of travel, the chassis itself will flex to allow all wheels to stay in contact with the ground.

The MF 9130 may actually be over-engineered for Australian conditions but this pays dividends in terms of comfort, manoeuvrability and reliability.
