But the good news – the event is only postponed from its regular mid-July time slot to be in full flight to accept visitors on the 5 and 6 November 2021

Mark these new dates for the Mudgee Small Farm Field Days – Friday to Saturday November 5 and 6 2021 – for the event that has been running for over 40 years and attracts almost 20,000 people over two days

Organisers expected to see a strong return of exhibitors and visitors to the Mudgee Small Farm Field Days in 2021, following the cancellation of the 2020 due to COVID-19.

After-all the event is long-standing and has been the main Field Days drawc in the Central West NSW since its inception in 1977.

The committee had everything in place, with a focus on innovation and sustainability, to make the event relevant for the 20,000 visitors expected to attend in 2021.

But this was not to be, with as surprising it is to many to still see COVID-19 disrupting events in 2021, the event will no longer be held on the July 9 and 10, but instead moved to the almost last available time slot for a field day, in November 2021.

Organisers, the Australian Rural Education Centre (AREC) had this to say, “It is extremely disappointing to have to postpone the Mudgee Small Farm Field Days, scheduled to be held on the July 9 and 10. The event will now be held on the November 5 and 6 2021.

“With the current COVID lockdown and Government restrictions, the difficult decision was made in the best interest of the health and safety of the local community, volunteers and everyone involved in the event.

“Exhibitors will be offered a 100% refund or credit towards the new dates. Exhibitors will receive an email with directions on how to proceed.

“Visitors who have already purchased tickets will be offered a full refund or credit towards the new dates. If they would like a refund, they need to contact 123Tix directly by the 31st July, otherwise their tickets will be automatically transferred to the new dates.

“We are also excited to announce that visitors can now purchase tickets for these new dates using their Dine and Discover Vouchers through the 123Tix website.

“We look forward to seeing everyone on November 5 and 6 2021.” The statement concluded.

At the rescheduled event, around 20,000 visitors will be treated to several demonstrations and talks, along with live music and activities. Plus a host of commercial exhibitors showing their latest wares.
