New Holland has debuted its 2019 flagship Genesis T8 Series tractor loaded with Precision Land Management Intelligence (PLM).

Built in-house from the ground up, PLM is New Holland’s intuitive precision farming platform designed to adapt to the unique needs of each individual farmer.

PLM has functions ranging from advanced connectivity between operators, vehicles, advisors and dealers.

It’s all designed to assist the operator with customisable controls, improved visibility and enhanced cab comfort.

The long-term view for the Genesis T8 Series is to improve productivity and greatly reduce downtime.

Inside the cab obstructions have been removed to increase all-round visibility and the new InfoView monitor is positioned in direct line-of-sight on the dash so operators can keep their eye on the task in front of them.

The T8’s cab now has more accessible storage, along with an increased number of USB power ports, HVAC vents and egress lights, and there is also an ergonomic seat for all-day operator comfort.

Now the InfoView monitor is positioned in direct line-of-sight on the dash so operators can keep their eye on the task in front of them.

In addition, front- and rear-mounted cameras provide enhanced awareness of the tractor’s immediate surroundings.

Personalisation is at the forefront on the Genesis T8 with customisable controls allowing operators to adjust key functions to their unique preferences and requirements.

At the core of the in-cab control environment are the ergonomic SideWinder Ultra armrest with its CommandGrip joystick and the IntelliView 12 monitor, both of which offer individual configuration and customisation.

On the SideWinder Ultra armrest operators can configure hydraulic remotes and assign up to nine configurable buttons to whatever task is at hand.

The touchscreen IntelliView monitor offers customisation of information screens depending on what operators want to prioritise for each job and it will also accept external USB and camera inputs.

Enhanced LED lighting packages deliver 25 per cent more light for safe and productive night operations.

For working into the night, an improved set of LED work lights deliver up to 25 per cent more visible light to improve safety and productivity.

But the most innovative upgrade of the Genesis T8 extend far beyond the cab with the complete integration of New Holland’s PLM platform.

PLM uses ISOBUS Class III technology to keep owners completely connected through MyPLM Connect.

Keeping in touch with machines at all times from anywhere is a simple matter of using a tablet-based user interface.

This means farm business can be conducted seamlessly from the tractor cab or the farm office along with the added benefit of APIs that allow for the sharing and analysis of data.

In addition, operators can also dynamically keep in touch with their local New Holland dealers to minimise downtime.

This is through proactive support, remote monitoring and diagnostics, and in-paddock software updates.

And at times when crucial decisions have to be made on-the-go, operators can get in touch with nutritionists, agronomists and other experts to get real-time advice.

New Holland T8.435 SmartTrax
Top two models in the Genesis T8 range, the T8.410 and T8.435, are available as Smarttrax versions for added traction in difficult conditions or where demanding tillage implements necessitate more grip.

The Genesis T8 Series is made up of five-wheel models as well as track versions of the two biggest tractors.

At their heart is a 6-cylinder, 8.7-litre engine with the latest clean, operator friendly Tier 4B emissions reduction technology.

This engine epitomises the billions of dollars that makers were forced into spending by the US and EU countries to eradicate the known cancers caused by particulate soot from previous generation engines.

Rated power at 2000rpm for each model is 184kW (250hp) for the T8.320, 206kW (280hp) for the T8.350, 229kW (311hp) for the T8.380, 250kW (340hp) for the T8.410 and 279kW (380hp) for the T8.435.

Maximum power at 1800rpm adds about 50kW (67hp) in each case.

Standard transmissions that deliver power to the ground are an 19×4 ultra command full-powershift or an auto command CVT on the T8.320, T8.350 and the T8.380.

While the T8.410 and T8.435 are offered with the Auto Command CVT only.

Front and rear cameras keep the operator aware of what is happening behind and in front, and IntelliSteer guidance delivers maximum efficiency in the paddock.

Each model has four remote valves as standard and 166 litres/min of hydraulic pump flow.

Remotes can be optionally bumped up to 5 or 8 and hydraulics power can also be boosted to 282-litres/min.

Standard rear lift capacity ranges from 6758kg on the T8.320 and T8.350 to 8845kg on the T8.380 and 9026kg on the T8.410 and T8.435.

All models can be optioned with a 5810kg front linkage.

The Genesis T8 wheelbase is the longest in the industry with a resultant smooth, stable ride and IntelliSteer guidance is also standard on all models.
