Additional flotation tyres have been added to the Nokian Float King range to cater for ever increasing load-carrying requirements
With higher carrying capacity agricultural trailers being released along with big capacity tankers Nokian has answered the call by adding four additional tyres to theFloat King VF range.
Nokian was able to effect the upgraded carrying capacity through its Flexforce® VF tyre technology which already provides impressive grip and flotation in challenging soil conditions.
That same Flexforce® VF technology has been applied to the Float King VF tyre range to now give it an additional four popular sizes for high-capacity trailed tankers and similar.
The Float King VF flotation and tanker tyre range now give farmers the flexibility they have been asking for. It enables more efficient agricultural work by creating an XXL-sized ground contact, reducing power loss, and providing load-bearing capacity with lower tyre pressure working to minimise soil compaction.
Tested and user approved
Nokian VF tyres have been subjected to extensive paddock testing by farmers and agricultural contractors worldwide. And in turn, they have been impressed with the soil-friendliness, grip, stability and good self-cleaning properties of the tyre.
The current size range of the Float King VF includes four high-capacity slurry tanker sizes including the VF750/60R30.5, VF850/50R30.5, VF710/55R34 and VF800/50R34.
One contractor that took up the Float King VF test challenge was Marcus Bladin the owner of The Machine, a company operating in Linköping Sweden. Founded by his father in 1966, The company takes care of anything from spreading manure to removing snow around farm buildings.
For those needs, winter grip, long service life and great self-cleaning properties are what makes a great tyre. The Float King VF tyre range was ideal for this rugged work while maintaining low soil compaction.
Marcus Bladin praises the Nokian Float King VF, and feels that the lifespan of the tyre seems excellent as well. “It looks really great,” he said and when asked about the design. That doesn’t hurt either.
Marcus Bladin also added, “They give great stability and run really well on the road.”
Float King VF tyres also leave the soil in good condition, Bladin also feels, “Its important as they don’t want to compact the customer’s soil.” He also mentioned good self-cleaning as an important factor when choosing the tyre, as they don’t want to take any more soil than is necessary.
“I can also confirm that self-cleaning is good in these tyres,” Bladin says and also adds, “We can now work with a much lower tyre pressure.”
