Rabe Fieldbird compact disc tiller ideal for stubble and weeds

Rabe’s Fieldbird 12m (40ft) compact disc rapid tiller eliminates the need for stubble trash burning and also offers the additional benefits of stubble incorporation and weed control

Burder AgAttachments and Rabe are extremely excited to announce the delivery of the Fieldbird 12m (40ft) compact disc rapid tiller to the Milling in  Western Australia for full stubble cultivation management.

Rabe tillage equipment is made in Germany, as part of the Gregoire Besson group, one of Europe’s premier manufacturers of cultivation equipment.

Rabe has an extensive cultivation line and has been successful in supplying broadacre growers, vegetable and orchard producers, along with units adaptable for dairy farm management.

The massive Fieldbird unit has a working width of 12m (40ft) and while it weighs 12-tonnes it is able to fold-up to a 3m width, for transport between paddocks and off farm jobs.

With working speeds in excess 13kph it is able to work down to depths of 120mm (4.7-in), the Fieldbird is efficient, thorough and cost effective for in-stubble cultivation, lime incorporation and seeding preparation.

The Fieldbid SP4 is designed and manufactured using European high grade structural steel, and makes it durable and flexible due to the fine grain steel and well engineered use of structural sections.

Darren Cousins, Burder AgAttachments WA State Manager states, “On the back of the success of trials last season, we have placed machines this year to end users that have observed the benefits of using the Fieldbird for stubble cultivation. The feedback so far is that the Fieldbird is eliminating the need for stubble trash burning activities and also has benefits of stubble incorporation and weed control.”

Darren goes on to say, “Having already manufactured agricultural equipment locally it just makes sense to join forces with one or Europe’s largest and best known cultivation brands. This is a great addition to our existing suite or products and also complements our existing range as well.

Distribution will take place from both the Wangaratta Vic, Toowoomba Qld  and Perth WA operation centres, and spare parts and technical support are also part of the package.

Burder is already a major local manufacturer of FEL’s, forks grabs, rakes and buckets for both tractors and telehandlers, along with a range of proven scrapers and land levellers.
