Established in the wheat-belt town of Dumbleyung in 1936, Farmers Centre 1978 has grown to become the largest Agricultural Machinery dealership in the Great Southern region and to this day, is still managed by the original management team.
The dealership became an International harvester dealer, then in 1986 progressed to become a full CASE IH dealer after the merger of CASE and International.
In 1978 the company became incorporated and was named Farmers Centre (1978) Pty Ltd.
The second Farmers Centre branch was established in the town of Lake Grace in 1978 and both branches serviced a wide-spread area until the opening of Farmers Centre Albany in 1996 and Katanning in 2001.
In the 1970s Farmers Centre operated with only the Dealer Principal, Barry Wells, and two part-time workers.
The company motto was “We service the equipment we sell” meaning that a dealer should look after its clients well after they purchase a machine, not just at the initial buying phase.
The business has since expanded to over sixty staff and this is still their motto today, the company continues its tradition of offering a service that is second to none and prides itself on specialising in the equipment it sells.
Servicing the Wheatbelt, Southwest and Great Southern regions, Farmers Centre is a proud distributor of SDLG wheel loaders in Western Australia.
The SDLG loader is a well-built machine that compliments the wide range of machinery sold at Farmers Centre.
As Farmers Centre is an agricultural machinery dealer rather than an industrial one, many customers are looking for a reliable machine they can store during harvest and seeding but use in the off season for maintenance and heavy work around the farm.
The SDLG range of wheel loaders deliver simple operation and easy upkeep at some of the lowest prices in the industry.
They offer excellent value for money and a 2 year/2000-hour warranty to back it up.
Farmers Centre has always enjoyed a working partnership with the local communities and continues to sponsor many local sporting groups throughout the great southern.
Farming is unlike most other industries; it is a real community organisation and it doesn’t just start at the farm gate but encompasses whole towns.
Farmers Centre has one of the largest contingents of mobile technicians, fully trained, all electronic servicing tools in Western Australia, with trained Salesmen who know their product and Certified Precision Farming Technicians.
The combination of experience, vast product information, local knowledge and exemplary skills is a powerful combination and one that ensures success.
