Serafin Ultisow S8 S9 and S10 single disc seeders are the best for versatility

The three models in Serafin’s S8 S9 and S10 range have the option of a mounted 5100-litre Aussie made bin with the added ability to sow both extremely fine and large seed

A popular model from the Serafin Ultisow S8 Series of seeders is the S26 32 with an 8 metre working width that allows combinations of 32 rows set at 250mm or 42 rows set at 190mm

Serafin is having great success with its latest release Ultisow S8, S9 and S10 range of single disc seeders. This is borne out by the number of buyers that are trading up from previous series releases.

While the Ultisow S8, S9 and S10 models are configured in popular working widths from 8 to 10m it is also the advantage of being able to option a 5100-litre mounted bin that appeals to many operations.

These Ultisow S8, S9 and S10 models have proven to be the most versatile for growers and contractors with the options of a mounted Gason bin, a range of row spacing options, a narrow transport width and the ability to sow extremely low rates of fine seeds as well as very high rates of larger grains/beans.

The other great benefit is the ability to option these three models with a Hi-Lift walkthrough frame.

This walk-through option gives easy access to make any adjustments to the row units without reaching over or crawling under the machine. And with the Hi-Lift it gives operators a more compact and easier seeder to work with long-term.

Repeat buyers make up a large number of sales for Serafin, being drawn back when a larger model is sought to expand their operation.

Reasons given for sticking with the brand include the versatility offered. In one particular instance, a loyal Serafin’s customer from Warren NSW recently upgraded from his original S9-42 Ultisow dating back to 2018 and replaced it with a new S10-48 Hi-Lift for season 2023.

The reasons given for the upgrade was to plant more crop with a wider machine in the same amount of time, ultimately increasing productivity and being easier to service.

In addition, high on the Serafin loyalty chart is the ease of making adjustments when swapping from pasture to cereal crops, noting in particular that depth changes and calibrations were a breeze with the optional Hi-Lift specification.

The upgrade from the S9-42 Ultisow to the S10-48 Hi-Lift also enabled the Warren NSW grower to stay in the paddock longer with the bin capacity increased from 3200 to 5100-litres.

To keep going for longer and covering the sowing program while the weather permits is a big advantage that wider working widths and added capacity offers.

Serafin Ultisow S10 Series seeders work across 10m with rows banks of 40, 48 and 54 with row settings of 250mm, 208mm and 185mm. Shown here is an Ultisow S10 54 S34 custom built with three product capacity bins
