Sonic Boomsprays has over two decades of history in the local manufacture of boom spraying equipment for large scale growers and contractors.
The company builds one of the world’s biggest capacity sprayers. The Ultra Sonic 13045TRS.
With its 13,000-litre capacity spray tank with a 45.5m (150ft), or optional 48.5m (160ft) spray span, it can cover 1500ha (3705ac) a day, the equivalent of 125ha/hr (308ac/hr).
The 13045TRS comes standard with BPW Transpec rear and front steer triaxle axle suspension.
This suspension is ideal for up and back spraying. Its parabolic spring system gives a smooth ride whether fully loaded or with an empty tank.
High on the order list for the 13045TRS is the Airmatic Airjet Nozzle control system.
This system gives the operator complete control of the droplet size needed for the prevailing conditions from the cab.
With drift control and a droplet size to suit the target now a major concern this system is currently seen as one of the best currently available.
The optional Airmatic system allows the operator to choose a droplet size from Very Fine (VF), (F), (M), (C), (VC), at the touch of a button.
The chosen droplet size will be maintained regardless of water rate or speed travelled.
This allows the ability to apply fungicides at high pressure/high water rate and herbicides at low pressure/low water rates without changing nozzles.
Couple this with Sonic’s 13045TRS advanced design and you have a sprayer that will perform well under tightly regulated spraying conditions.
Growers and large-scale contractors will appreciate the convenience of the 13045TRS being loaded and ready to go with chemicals to cover a 270ha (667ac) area without stopping.
From its manufacturing base in Narembeen central WA the Sonic brand has become known for its strong and reliable build.
The full range of Sonic trailed sprayers runs from the 5030 models with a 5,000-litre product capacity with a 30.5m (100ft) boom span, and runs up to the 13048TRS with a 13,000-litre product capacity with a 48.5m (160ft) boom span.
Sonic continually add technical advancements as they become available and as a result their boomsprays are at the forefront in their ability to spray large areas of ground in the shortest time span possible.
Attention to operator safety has been a strength of Sonic from the start with a safety kit, detergent with 35-litres of hand and eye wash water.
As part of the package there is also a nozzle brush and holder, grease gun holder, dust and waterproof toolbox, taps on all filters to stop siphoning while cleaning with most functions operated from the tractor cab.
As a manufacturer, Sonic Boomsprays are aware of the environmental impact of spray drift and fits low drift nozzles as standard on all its models.
Sonic models come with a very high level of standard inclusions.
As part of the build include the highest quality fittings with stainless steel used extensively through-out the machines making them compatible to use with liquid nitrogen applications.
To manage all terrain conditions there are several types of suspension available.
Starting with either a single axle airbag or tandem sprung suspension or the award-winning tandem steering model that can also be braked as an option.
Sonic have been fitting Rota moulded tanks for many years with excellent results and has taken that success up a notch with a projected coverage of 270ha per tank at 50 litres/ha.
Sonic Boomsprays as a company is on the cutting edge of agriculture, dedicated to continually evolve their design, the safety and integrity of their machines is an important factor for Sonic.
